It’s the start of a new week, which means we’ve got a list of SO MANY exciting things to do in and around the City of Brotherly Love!

July 19

  • Get inside the head of Insomnia Cookies’ Chief Marketing Officer Tom Carusona! The Philadelphia Public Relations Association is hosting a virtual Ask the Expert Q&A with the CMO. The interview begins at 1 p.m. and you won’t want to miss it!
  • If you’ve dreamt of being a famous comedian, we have the perfect event for you: Philly Comedy Academy! This workshop will help you develop and perfect a 5-minute stand up set. At the end, you will perform your set on Punch Line Philly’s stage! This week’s class begins at 6:30 p.m.

July 20

  • Learn about the women of the Revolutionary War at Petticoats, Patriots and Punch! While discussing the era’s inspiring female authors and secret spies, you’ll be sipping on Martha Washington’s Revolutionary Rum Punch! This event takes place on Zoom at 7 p.m. After registering, you’ll be sent the drink recipe.
  • Spend your happy hour at Painting with a Twist! On Tuesday at 7 p.m., instructor Grace is leading a “Red Wine, Lips & Soles” painting class. The art materials are provided, all you need to do is bring your wine and have fun! There is a select amount of spaces available, buy your ticket now!

July 21

  • Check out Snacktime Brass Band at Philly’s newest music venue Broad Hall! Broad Hall is located inside the Divine Lorraine Hotel in Fairmount. In addition to the live show, there will be a DJ set and food from local chef Natalie Maronski (who was a contestant on Top Chef)! 
  • This week’s Arts on Center Stage theme is the Philly Music Scene! From 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., enjoy a variety of local artists performances at Dilworth Park.  Cyndy Drue from WMGK and WMMR will be hosting the event!   

July 22

  • Eat family style at the Poi Dog & Musi Pop Up! These two local restaurants are pairing up to blend their Hawaiian and fine dining styles. The menu includes Maui lavender salmon poke, Gamtea seaweed sorprese and even more deliciousness. 
  • Philadelphia Brewing Company is hosting Kegs for Cats! From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., there will be a plethora of pawsome activities—kitten cuddling, a silent auction and a book signing from Gata Unbound author Lucy Noland. But wait, it gets even better: you can enjoy complimentary drinks and all the proceeds go toward Mac’s Fund and Morris Animal Refuge

July 23

  • Preschoolers and their families can join Logan Library for their Outdoor Storytime! There will be some book readings, singalongs and more fun! Attendees should meet on the steps of the library at 10:30 a.m. 
  • Dance all night to the best songs ever at the One Direction vs Jonas Brothers Dance Party! For one night and one night only, The Foundry will be spinning tracks exclusively by the 2010s favorite boy bands. FYI, this event is 18+ and doors open at 8 p.m.

July 24

  • Channel your inner PI at The Dinner Detective! As you enjoy a three-course meal, you will also be in the middle of an interactive comedy murder mystery. One of your fellow diners is the killer…and it’s up to you to figure out who’s guilty! The dinner begins at 6 p.m. at DoubleTree by Hilton.
  • Escape the heat at the Smoke and Mirrors Family Magic Show! Head inside Philadelphia’s first European-style amphitheater for a day of enchantment and fun! This family-friendly show begins at 1 p.m. at Pine Valley Plaza in Huntingdon Valley.

July 25

  • Kickstart your Sunday at Sweaty with Petty! Love City Brewing is hosting a morning yoga and dance event, set to the tunes of Tom Petty. After, you’ll be able to cool off with the beer of your choice! The class starts at 10:30 a.m. and it’s BYO mat.
  • Explore Spring Garden with the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia’s Architectural Walking Tour of the neighborhood! From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., you can stroll along and learn about this late 1800s suburb
