Food and Fashion Photo Shoot at the M Restaurant

Philly PR Girl Owner, Kate, was recently asked to participate in a “food and fashion” photo shoot at M Restaurant at the Morris House.  She immediately jumped at the fun opportunity.  The Morris House Hotel was built in 1787, and today it is now a national historic landmark.  Never having been to the M Restaurant, Kate was pleasantly surprised by the backdrop of the shoot: the gorgeous garden in the back of the restaurant.

The garden can hold up to 120 people and is perfect for private events or weddings.  Though the venue hosts a variety of events including a new coffee club for the neighborhood, a great happy hour from 4pm to 9pm with a pick-three bar bites for $13, and a special pre-theater menu.

Of course the thing that draws people to the restaurant is Chef Kyle Beebe, who makes his food the star of the show.  He stopped by to say hi and his passion for cooking shined through the entire conversation.  He told us about the ingredients that are locally sourced and the true difference that presentation makes.   We sampled items from the new seasonal menu, available now.  Popular menu items at the restaurant include baby arugula salad, spanish rock octopus, seared scallops, and duck breast.  As you’ll notice all of these ingredients are all full of flavor, which is true throughout the menu.

Kate’s friends and fellow “models” included in the shoot included Sara Ann Kelly (SAK PR), Garrett Olthuis (Salon Bass), Ian Crumm (Stylist/Blogger), Michelle Boyles (South Philly Fashionista), and Michael (Barry Eichner Consulting).  We all had a great time!  For more information about the M Restaurant visit: http://www.mrestaurantphilly.com/.
