Macy’s Flower Show is Back

For the last several years in Philadelphia, I found the most amazing surprise at Macy’s in the springtime. The Center City location is one of only SIX locations that host the annual Macy’s Flower Show. This year’s theme is a celebration of southern Asia, transforming the department store into an oasis filled with exotic plants and flowers – even their famous eagle is dressed up!

To fully experience the details of the Macy’s Flower Show: The Painted Garden, there are complimentary guided tours; though I find it just as fun to admire the sights while shoe shopping. Throughout the day, except Sundays, there are organ concerts by Peter Richard Conte as a part of PIFA. Other events that will take place include a florist demonstration, a cooking demonstration, and a girls’ beauty breakfast. Click here to view the complete schedule. If you can’t make it to by Sunday, April 7th, take a look at my pictures below, but I warn you, they don’t do it justice. This is worth the trip!
