Two Words: Black Friday! An early morning or should I say a late night depending on how crazy you are! Black Friday aka the national shopping extravaganza that catches the media attention every year is turning into an even bigger production this year. Some stores such as Toys R Us are opening at 8pm Thanksgiving day. (Yes on Thanksgiving!) The competition to win customers gets fiercer every year. Some local shops in Philly have decided to partake in this shopping spree. Below are a few of my favorite local shops and the special deals they are offering.

For you adventurous shoppers Limerick Premium Outlets have an impressive collection of 150 designers. Your holiday shopping can start at Midnight as Thanksgiving ends and run right through the weekend — many stores will open at 9pm on Thursday night!
For those of you that don’t want to shop there are plenty of other things to do on Black Friday. Reading Terminal Market’s Holiday Railroad display has returned. Also go check out The Christmas Village at Love Park. The Village includes 60 vendor booths and offers a unique shopping experience and beautiful views of the Philadelphia Love Park Christmas Tree. You can always head over to Liberty Place to see the Holiday Gingerbread Houses created by Philadelphia’s top chefs and restaurant.
