Corridor Contemporary’s “Deconstruct” Exhibition Opening

On September 2, Corridor Contemporary graciously hosted the opening of Deconstruct, a solo exhibition of works by Arinze Stanley. It was quite the event! Crowds of people gathered to admire the beautifully detailed, photorealistic pieces. Whether it was awe, curiosity, or inspiration, everyone felt something as they walked through the gallery that night.

Arinze Stanley is a Nigerian artist who is known for his hyper realistic pencil and charcoal portraits of black subjects. Amazingly, he is self-taught and has been drawing since the age of six! His collection of portraits are meant to convey the resilient spirit of Nigerian youth and dismantle stereotypes.

The gallery is currently showcasing ten unbelievable pieces and trust us, they are not to be missed! If you were unable to make it to the opening, the exhibition will run through the end of October. Plan a fun fall outing with friends or make a cute date out of it and visit the gallery! Corridor Contemporary is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
