Something new and exciting is popping up in Philadelphia this summer! Along with presenting sponsor Visit Philadelphia, we are introducing Photo Pop Philly! It’s the first interactive pop-up exhibit of its kind in the city of Philadelphia. Interactive short-term art installations have quickly taken over major markets. It’s about time The City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection gets one, too! Photo Pop Philly opens its doors for business May 24 starting at 3 until 11 p.m.

What to Expect at Photo Pop Philly

It all starts with a balloon popping ceremony at 3 p.m. sharp! Afterwards, dive into the exhibit to start your journey of Insta-worthy content. Right away, guests start in one of five different rooms inspired by the inaugural theme of red, white, and blue. Throughout, the history of Philadelphia and the American spirit is captured in interactive displays. Find sensory experiences that evoke empowerment, wonder, nostalgia and beyond at Photo Pop Philly. Philly PR Girl has worked hard to curate this exhibit and ensure there’s something new and unexpected at every turn.

The pop-up really comes to life through the unique perspectives of our hometown artists. Each artist has created a one-of-a-kind piece exclusively for Photo Pop Philly. You won’t be able to find it anywhere else! Artists include Amberella, Alloyius Mcilwaine, Aye!CRTV,  Benjamin Howard, Catron Lee, Christine Moore, Get Up, Kara Khan’s Pop Up Polaroid, Nero, Martha Rich, Michael Lambui, and These Pink Lips. Guests will find selfie-worthy art, impactful murals, fun installations, and an endless amount of photo opportunities!

General admission tickets are on sale now until July 8 at PhotoPopPhilly.com! Founder and creator of Photo Pop Philly, Kate Marlys says, “I’m excited for everyone to see what’s inside. We’re bringing something completely new to the city. I hope everyone loves it as much as I do.”
