Juneteenth Pop-Up Market (June 19)

The Juneteenth Pop-Up Market brings together Black owned businesses, performances, and food trucks in the heart of the historic district of Philadelphia. You can expect to see homemade pastries, handmade art, home goods, hair and beauty products, and so much more. Whether you’re looking to spend some money or just enjoy some live music, the Pop-Up Market has you covered.
Juneteenth Block Party at the African American Museum (June 19)

Are you ready to dance, celebrate, and connect at one of Philly’s most iconic Juneteenth events? The Block Party at the African American Museum is hosted in partnership with Wawa Welcome American and is an all-day, free event that takes place on the streets right outside the museum. Enjoy high-energy performances, live DJs, interactive art, family-friendly activities, and so much more. There will also be a ton of local food trucks and vendors to choose from. Make sure to stop inside the museum and enjoy free admission to powerful exhibits that spotlight the richness and resilience of Black history and culture. This is an event you won’t want to miss!

Bring your little ones down to the Please Touch Museum on Thursday, June 1,9 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm for a day filled with creativity, reflection, and family fun. Juneteenth Wine & Arts Festival (June 21)

Raise a glass in celebration of Cherry Street Pier’s 3rd annual Juneteenth Wine & Arts Festival on Saturday, June 21, on the Delaware River Waterfront. This free, family-friendly celebration blends wine tastings, art showcases, live music, and unique vendors in a tribute to Black culture. Wine-tasting tickets are available in advance for $20 or $30 at the door, while general admission remains open to all ages. No matter what you are there to see, this festival offers a relaxed environment that is perfect for celebrating Juneteenth with friends and family by the river.
Philadelphia Juneteenth Parade & Festival (June 22)

Get ready for one of the nation’s largest Juneteenth celebrations right here in the heart of West Philly! The Philadelphia Juneteenth Parade & Festival returns on June 22nd for a citywide celebration of Black freedom, heritage, and joy. The celebrations begin with a parade starting at 12:30 pm near the Mann Center and ending at Malcolm X Park where the festival is located. With more than 250 vendors, live performances, dance lessons, and even a Rolling Car museum featuring custom and vintage rides, this event is one you won’t want to sit out on. It’s family-friendly, completely free, and packed with opportunities to celebrate, shop, dance, and uplift the legacy of Juneteenth in a truly Philly way.
Jawnteenth (June 22)

Celebrate both Juneteenth and Pride with a night of bold, Black, queer joy at JAWNTEENTH, a variety showcase hosted by The Naughty Jawn at Silk City. This 21+ event features an all-Black, all-queer cast of performers, including burlesque, drag, comedy, and live music. This event is hosted by Ziphina, and the lineup includes plenty of standout performers with some exciting surprises throughout the night. The doors open at 6 pm, and it’s first come, first served, so grab your friends and join us for an unapologetic celebration of identity, resistance, and performance art on June 22nd!
