This Memorial Day weekend, we are taking important time to remember those who have served in our armed forces. Many events are honoring charities and the American spirit. Monday, May 21
  • Root for the home team with Wawa Welcome America at Citizens Bank Park. As the Phillies take on the Atlanta Braves, the team will donate proceeds to Welcome America to enhance their educational initiatives.
  • Food Network’s Chef Robert Irvine is to host this year’s Beats N’ Eats charity event at the Fillmore. Join renowned chefs and musicians, both locally and globally recognized, in honor of our veterans.
Tuesday, May 22
  • The Franklin Institute invites you to their monthly out-of-this-world event, Night Skies in the Observatory. Enjoy an evening full of stargazing, shows, live talks, and nebulae with Chief Astronomer, Derrick Pitts.
  • Network After Work Philadelphia is coming to Morgan’s Pier for an evening of networking with other professionals. Come meet like-minded individuals in a laid back, after work setting!
Wednesday, May 23
  • Spend an afternoon with Philadelphia’s top fitness instructors dancing and mingling with local vendors at Move, Groove, & Swing. All proceeds of this event at the Weston Fitness in Center City go towards Philabundance.
  • Find your inner rockstar with Post Malone featuring 21 Savage at Penn Landing’s Festival Pier! Don’t miss a night full of recent hits under the stars.
  • Kick off the General Election with a happy hour at the new Goose Island Brewhouse with PA Governor Tom Wolf and candidate for Lieutenant Governor, John Fetterman. This is a great chance to get engaged with local politics, ask questions that matter to you, and financially support candidates.
Thursday, May 24
  • It’s opening day of Photo Pop Philly,* the first interactive pop-up exhibit of its kind in the city of Philadelphia! Make your way through five rooms with over a dozen local artist pieces and hundred of photo ops that are all inspired by the amazing history of this city and the American spirit.
  • The historic Bok Building in South Philly is opening their seasonal rooftop bar, Bok Bar! Enjoy the setting sun with a killer view of the city with a drink in hand.
  • It’s that time of year again to sip and see the exhibits of the Mutter Museum! Join the fun at the Beach Party Beer Garden featuring a cash bar, light snacks, and full museum access.
Friday, May 25
  • Get connected with yourself at Mindfulness at the Museum, a series of meditation sessions at Institute of Contemporary Art. Drop into these free classes on Friday afternoons with Kate Johnson.
  • Clues & Booze is bringing pop-up escape rooms to your favorite local spots. Be your own superhero at Victoria Freehouse as you fight your way through the comic book themed rooms!
Saturday, May 26
  • Pay tribute to military heroes at the National Constitution Center over Memorial Day Weekend. At these family friendly event, you can learn flag etiquette, enjoy arts and crafts, and even Thank-A-Vet at the postcard station.
  • Philly natives, Daryl Hall and John Oates, present the HoagieNation Festival at Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing. Enjoy this celebration with live musical performances, Philly culture, and some of the city’s best food!
Sunday, May 27
  • Get in the American spirit at Red, White, and Blue Wine tasting at Pinot Boutique’s Old City wine room. Taste a variety of select local wines, including a special edition blue wine, for only $10!
  • Travel to the ‘burbs for Downingtown Fine Arts Festival. See tons of art, expressed by more than 30 local artists, at this event that’s free to the public.
Monday, May 28
  • Make the City of Philadelphia your own personal gameboard as you travel through the city “Amazing Race” style with the Amazing Scavenger Hunt Adventure. Compete against other teams while simultaneously getting a tour of this historic city.
  • Check out the dozens of ships docked on the Delaware with Sail Philadelphia. Tour the ships and even take a cruise on one of the sail away cruises.
