Monday, December 8th

  • Holiday Beer Dinner: Lolita restaurant will host a 3-course holiday beer dinner with a Mexican food menu to compliment it at only $35 per person. Call and make your reservation today!
  • Holiday Toy Drive: The Eastern State Penitentiary is partnering with Philadelphia FIGHT’s Institute for community Justice, to collect gifts for local children with incarcerated parents. From December 1st to December 14th, any Eastern State visitor who donates a gift, unwrapped and unused, will be granted a second admission free of charge. Tuesday, December 9th

  • City Fit Girls Empowerment Series: Learn how to develop and fund your own business at Square One Coffee on South 13th street starting at 6:30pm. Ask any questions, and be inspired by others who participate. For more information and to get your tickets, visit the City Fit Girls website!
  • A Christmas Carol: This year is the 22nd annual presentation of the classic Dickens tale about the transformation of Ebenezer Scrooge from miser to man who honors Christmas in his heart. Adapted by internationally known writer Nagle Jackson, this is sure to be a presentation to remember! Open daily until December 28th, grab your family and go to the Hedgerow Theatre in Rose Valley!

Wednesday, December 10th

  • My Big Gay Tacky Sweater Party: Join in on the fun while participating in the Gayborhood’s tackiest holiday affair presented by our clients and Best of Philly winner, The Bronzed Bee! Hosted at U Bar, and starting at 6pm, be sure to bring your ugliest sweater, and all your friends! Compete in the Ugly Sweater contest and be judged by Cory Wade, drag mafia queen Brittiny Lynn, drag queen Bev Ashley and the queen bee of The Bronzed Bee, Ashley!   • Human Rights and a Free Press: The United Nations Association Chapter of Greater Philadelphia are organizing an event pertaining to “Human Rights and a Free Press” at The Ethical Society of Philadelphia at 5:30pm.  Thursday, December 11th

  • Christmas Village Lantern Parade & Philly Pops Brass Concert: Presented by NRG Home, The Christmas Village invites you to a traditional German-style lantern parade starting at 5pm. Bring your homemade lantern and meet at the iconic LOVE Statue. The parade will end at the Christmas Village state with a sing-a-long led by children from East Passyunk’s Alphabet Academy Child Care and a free concert by The Philly POPS Brass.  Friday, December 12th

  • The Nutcracker Market 2014: The Pennsylvania Ballet proudly announces the return of Nutcracker Market, the regions most exciting holiday shopping experience. Located at The Kimmel Center, the shopping extravaganza starts December 11th, and continues to the 14th.   • Dance Celebration Presents Mummenschanz: Theatrical whimsy meets silent storytelling in the super creative performances by Swiss Troupe Mummenschanz, presented at the Annenberg Center. Using visual effects and props, universal stories are told with a bit more madness, and whimsical flare! Tickets begin at $20 and can be purchased online, over the phone, or at the box office. Saturday, December 13th

  • Seaport Parade of Lights: Don’t miss Philadelphia’s best waterfront holiday tradition, a lighted boat parade on the Delaware River! This event is hosted by Independence Seaport Museum, and will definitely be an event to remember! Prior to the parade, guests can enjoy a full day of holiday activities starting at 11am. Grab the family and enjoy the day!

 Sunday, December 14th

  • Holiday Concert at The West Jersey Chamber Music Society: Join in on the musical festivities, and enjoy a ceremony of carols and seasonal delights by composers including: John Ireland, John Jacob Niles & Paul Tschesnokov, featuring Maryanne Meyer, a well-known harpist.
