What’s in Your Bag?

As a new season approaches, many of us girls are reorganizing our purses that contain our day-to-day needs. For some of us, it’s an extension of ourselves. Philly PR Girl thought it would be fun to share what we’ve got inside our bags that helps keep us going in our crazy busy lives.

ALEX

Constantly scheduled down to the minute, Alex couldn’t imagine leaving home without her day planner in her Michael Kors tote.  During her busy days her huge curly hair tends to be a nuisance; a hair clip keeps it in tact in high stress situations! With a couple Alex and Ani bracelets and her Urban Outfitters sunglasses, she always has the perfect accessories to conquer any day.  Nestled inside her wallet, you’ll find SEPTA tokens, her Temple student ID, and a Starbucks gift card that constantly needs refilling.  Although life can get hectic, Alex knows that a fresh coat of MAC’s “Asian Flower” Sheen Supreme Lipstick will prepare her for whatever is thrown her way.

GABI

Since she likes to bring her entire house with her, Gabi’s bag is always an oversized tote in a durable like leather (sorry PETA) and a basic color that goes with everything. Sunglasses are a necessary accessory, along with her favorite bandanna that she never leaves the house without. Wintergreen Altoids are her favorite way to freshen up, and although she doesn’t fuss over her makeup often, she’ll reapply chapstick throughout the day. Most importantly, Gabi always has her voice recorder and a pen handy because you never know when a story will break.

JESS

As she’s always on the go, Jess has a great affinity for crossbody purses that can be worn comfortably with a pair of skinny jeans. She always carries a travel brush and makeup for touch-ups throughout the day, and won’t walk anywhere without her iPod. She keeps a book stashed away for train rides into and out of the city, and usually has a piece or two of chocolate on hand to indulge her sweet tooth!

KATE

As the owner of Philly PR Girl, Kate is always attending meetings with potential clients and new contacts.  She loves to meet new people and talk PR and Social Media, so she likes to bring her cute black briefcase bag with gold accents. It’s the perfect size to be able to carry her laptop with her.  Inside you will find her trusty iPhone, tons of lip gloss options, a Philly Mag/City Paper/Philly Weekly, tons of business cards, and  usually two pairs of sunglasses!  Currently she’s being inspired by her latest read, Sheryl Sandberg’s  “Lean In: Women, Work, and The Will to Lead.”

PAULINA

VICTORIA

With a consistently busy lifestyle, Victoria often chooses her leather Yves Saint Laurent Capri bag due to its roomy interior; plus, a silver bag with gold hardware matches her accessories on any day! Inside her bag, you’ll find an extremely organized collection of essential items. The most important item is her Moleskine planner in a bright and fun Le Petit Prince theme. There’s no need for a bulky wallet because her handy Speck iPhone case carries her frequently used cards. For checks and memos, she uses a black leather Baggu pouch that can also double as a mini fold-over clutch. A satin Coach pouch holds her daily medication and beauty needs that include hand lotion, tissues, lipstick, and Dior gel coat polish (which will turn a plain coat into a high-gloss chip-resistant gel manicure in minutes). Finally, with her keys and Chanel sunglasses, Victoria is all set for the day.
