At Philly PR Girl, our favorite events always involve a charitable twist. Helping to raise money for local and national organizations honestly makes every event even more fun. Once summer fades and people to flock back from the shore, event season kicks into full gear during the fall. We’d like to highlight some amazing ones that are looking to raise funds and glasses to a good cause.
Dine Out for the Environment

The 3rd annual Dine Out for the Environment is a fundraising event that takes place at some of the Philadelphia area’s most sustainable restaurants. The day-long event benefits Clean Air Council and its work fighting for everyone’s right to breathe fresh air. Participating restaurants that are donating 15% of food and drink proceeds are: HubBub Coffee, Win Win Coffee Bar, United by Blue, St. Benjamin’s Taproom, Revolution Taco, R2L and Barra Rossa Ristorante. Fall Ball Masquerade Fundraiser

PAWS Annual Mutt Strut

In its 10th year, PAWS’ (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society) scenic Mutt Strut for pups and pals is back at The Navy Yard. On site, there are coffee, food trucks, live music and loads of animal-friendly activities. To make it even better, there are amazing incentives for each team to raise money, such as a Caribbean or Mexico cruise for the first place fundraiser! Don’t have a mutt to strut? That’s actually even better! Sign up to rent a PAWS dog and make a new friend – for the day or for life.
3rd Annual Blitz Bow Ties & Bourbon

Philadelphia Eagles safety, Malcolm Jenkins, hosts the 3rd annual Blitz Bow Ties & Bourbon, an exclusive bourbon tasting soiree to benefit his eponymous foundation. VIP tickets include an exclusive bourbon tasting with Eagles players that include Malcolm Jenkins, Connor Barwin, Jordan Matthews, and Nolan Carroll. At the grand reception, all guests can enjoy bites from the city’s finest chefs, such as Josh Lawler from The Farm & Fisherman Tavern, Joseph Nocella from the brand new Scarpetta Philadelphia, and Chip Roman of Blackfish and Mica. Dance to live entertainment and bet on a silent auction filled with amazing prizes.
Philadelphia Whiskey & Fine Spirits Festival

Philadelphia magazine’s Whiskey & Fine Spirits Festival is back and better than ever! Newly hosted at the Garces Events building downtown, the festival will feature over 200 premium spirits from around the world. Guests will be able to sample whiskey, scotch, bourbon, tequila, vodka and so much more. Philly’s best restaurants, including the Ritz Carlton’s Aqimero, The Olde Bar and Double Knot, are providing bites during the festival. Proceeds from ticket sales and some amazing raffle prizes are benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
