Monday, September 7

  • If you still have Labor Day off, enjoy the last of the weekend’s festivities! Soak up the sun at Chaddsford Winery as it hosts its annual Labor Day Weekend Blues Festival. The three-day festival promises live music, local wine, and a variety of eats. Come on by anytime from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for some wine, fun, celebrations!
  • Check out this weekly $15 dollar burger deal at Rex1516. Offered Monday nights, enjoy their classic burger, fries, shot of bourbon and a pint of Philadelphia Brewing Company Newbold IPA for only $15.

Tuesday, September 8

  • Free weekly Pop-Up Fitness boot camp classes are held in Sister Cities Park, running from 6 – 7 p.m.! Their goal is to make fitness a habit that you won’t want to break! Superior classes facilitated by licensed fitness trainers.
  • The Philadelphia Citizen will hold their first ever Social Impact Speaker Series, featuring former NBA superstar Charles Barkley and Eagles All-Pro linebacker Connor Barwin, discussing how professional athletes can make their cities better. The event will take place at the Arch Street Presbyterian Church. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the speakers begin at 6 p.m. Click here for tickets.

Wednesday, September 9

  • There is still time to come out to the Farmer’s Market at Dilworth Park. Get your fill of fresh veggies and fruit before the end of the summer. The Market runs every Wednesday from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.

Thursday, September 10

  • Pairings on the Parkway, happening every Thursday at the Sisters Cities Park, is the BYO event of the week. Come with your friends, a date, or family, to listen to music and eat a special summer grilling menu provided by the Logan Square Café.
  • Me First: An Autobiographical Comedy About Dying–Philly playwright/actor Jason Rosenberg will star in his newest one-man show at The People’s House for the 2015 Fringe Festival. Tickets are $10 and available through FringeArts online. All proceeds will be donated to The American Liver Foundation and PSC Partners Seeking A Cure.
  • Diner en Nior, for those of you who couldn’t go to Diner en Blanc, is the same concept as Diner en Blanc, except this time, you dress completely in black. The location will not be announced until the day of, and transportation is provided to the site. This dinner benefits the Bethesda Project.  

Friday, September 11

  • Luke Bryan is coming to the Susquehanna Bank Center. Buy tickets for his Kick Up the Dust Tour! Concert. The show starts at 7 p.m.
  • Every Friday, get Souled Out at the Trestle Inn , for a night of classic funk, soul, and R&B with DJ ‘lil dave and Go Go by The Trestle Specials. No Cover and all the fun! Runs from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Saturday, September 12

  • Dockside at Dave and Busters will be holding its 4th Annual End of Summer Music Festival. Presented by Gravity Given Productions and D&B, bands featured will be Yeah Son!, Jutaun, John Faye Music, Sweet Eureka, Dr. Beardfacé and the Spaceman, Ben Kessler Music, Dead:Stop, PlanetRAWK, Howlish, Swing That Cat + More. Start time TBA.
  • The South Philly Sausage Fest, presented by the Newbold Community Development Corporation, will be taking place from noon – 8 p.m. on West Passyunk Ave at Broad Street. Come out and try all the best sausage related foods, featuring restaurants such as Cafe y Chocolate, Chaat and Chai, Chucks Homemade Water Ice, Grubhouse,Philly Pretzel Factory, and Taproom on 19th.
  • Join the 102.9 WMGK air staff for a great day of craft beer sampling (over 50 beers) and live classic rock (courtesy of the MGK House Band), at the 5th Annual Brew Blast on the Battleship. Enjoy your afternoon on the tented deck of the Battleship New Jersey in Camden, NJ, including a free tour! Events starts at 1 p.m. and goes until 5 p.m.
  • Do you love wine? Then we have the perfect event for you! The Philadelphia Wine Fest will feature hundred of wine for your sampling. The event also includes, food, chocolates, shopping, and entertainment. The festing starts at 12 p.m. and goes until 5 p.m. To be held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center.

Sunday, September 13

  • Treat Grandma and Grandpa to a delicious brunch buffet, craft activity, and a complimentary ride on the Parx Liberty Carousel at Franklin Square for Grandparents Brunch Day. Event starts at 11 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m.
  • Please join Susan from Bella Sogno Designs and the ladies of Pineapple on Main for a Fall Floral Design Workshop!  Have you always wanted to learn a better way to arrange blooms? Put your skills to use and learn the tricks of the trade as floral designer expert Susan teaches you step by step how to create a masterpiece for your home. The workshop will take place at Pineapple on Main, going from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Do you love the environment? So do we! The 10th annual Greenfest Philly returns to South Street! The Clean Air Council presents the tri-state area’s largest environmental and wellness festival at the Headhouse Plaza. There will be plenty of family fun activities such as rock climbing, music, and over 100 + vendors and retailers to check out!
