Treat your loved one to dinner and a show in Center City! The Penn’s Landing Playhouse is currently celebrating Mother’s Day with Respect, a Musical Journey of Women. Based on the book “RESPECT: Women & Popular Music” by Dorothy Marcic (another great gift idea!), this show delves into the story of women’s independence as told through Top 40 music. It’s currently running through May 31st, and tickets are $45-65.
Another great option is Kinky Boots, playing at the Forrest Theatre now through Sunday, May 10th. There are two performances on Mother’s Day, at 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. This is the first national tour of this Broadway smash hit, and you definitely won’t want to miss it!
