Whether you’re hosting for the holidays and want a Christmas-sy Idea guide for the weekend or to get in the spirits with your family, significant other, or friends, we want to help you have the best experience. From holiday drinks to incredible Christmas decor, you won’t want to miss out. Check it out below!

Christmas Village 

The annual Christmas Village is held at the iconic LOVE Park, in the courtyard and on the north side of City Hall. Guests can experience this Philadelphia wonderland now until Christmas Eve. Walk throughout Christmas Village and experience over 120 vendors selling holiday items such as ornaments, jewelry, arts and crafts, Christmas-inspired drinks AND treats, plus much more. No tickets are needed beforehand, you can pay as you go. Normal hours are from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Christmas Eve, hours are 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.! Check out their Instagram here.

Philly Zoo Comes to Light

The Philadelphia Zoo is bringing back LumiNature presented by PNC Bank for the holiday season! See more than a million twinkling lights across 16 illuminated zones at their biggest and brightest holiday light show, now through January 6. The animals will be asleep during the holiday light experience, but there will be fun activities to participate in with your family and friends. Ride the Septa PZ Express train, take pictures in front of a 22-foot-tall butterfly tree covered in 4,000 butterflies, and much more. There is a variety of time slots starting at 5 p.m. for each day. Dilworth Park

If you’re looking for a dreamy date night with your significant other or a night out with friends, you can find The Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink in Dilworth Parkopen now through February 23! Guests can bring or rent skates to glide across the ice under the twinkle lights. Click here for more information.

Christmas Bar Scene

If you’re looking for Christmas-sy bars in the city with holiday decor AND holiday-themed drinks, we’ve got you covered. Tinsel and McGillan’s Olde Ale House are popular spots during the holidays. Plus, they are close walking distance from each other! You can expect themed drinks such as MISTLETOE MULE at McGillans and CANNED GOOD at Tinsel. Craftsman Row Saloon is another popular spot that serves delicious food and creative holiday drinks, such as their BOOZY COOKIE cocktail. A new bar to celebrate the holiday is The White Elephant, Philly’s newest pink disco pop-up Chrismas bar! Cheers!

Manayunk’s FREE Jolley Trolley Ride

Manayunk has a FREE Jolley Trolley running on the weekends until December 23! On Thursdays and Fridays the Trolley will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturdays will run from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.! Riders can feel free to hop on and off for FREE; the entire loop is about 20-25 minutes. This is a great idea if you plan on bar hopping, Christmas shopping, or looking to tour the Christmas decor in Manayunk. Check out the Entertainment Schedule and Jolley Trolley stops here.

Jingle and Mingle with Santa at Franklin Square

On December 16 & 23, bring the family and take a picture with Santa at Winter in Franklin Square from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.! This event is FREE and for all ages. On December 16, guests can bring their furry friends for Santa Paws, and Santa will take pictures with your pets! Learn more here.
