This Week In Philly February 27 – 28 & March 1 – 5

 

Hey there Philly and happy first week of March! Gather your family and friends to come out to some of the cool events we’ve found for you.

Monday 2/27

  • Longwood Gardens will have their Winter Wonder Exhibit and Pop-Up Floral Display: Acacia Passage available for guests from 10 AM – 5 PM. The Winter Wonder has close to 200 acres of stunning winter views while the Floral Display has beautiful and bright flowers all throughout the exhibit. 
  • Nothing like an evening basketball game to let off the work stress and cheer on our favorite team! The 76ers will be playing against the Miami Heat Monday night. Grab some of your friends and catch this game while there are a few seats left. 

Tuesday 2/28

  • The Asian American Journalists Association is inviting you to get dressed up and celebrate with them. Their Lunar New Year Celebration will be happening at Emei Restaurant. There will be delicious food and opportunities to win raffle prizes. 
  • Jet Wine Bar is having their first Wine Road Trip event, and this evening you’ll be traveling through Hungary and Slovenia. You’ll get to learn the wine traditions of each of the countries while sampling food and wine from each as well. Grab your tickets while they’re still available.

Wednesday 3/1

  • The early 2000s was an era we either loved or hated. For all the 2000s lovers, Other Half Brewing is having a 2000s Pop Culture Quizzo. Grab your skinny jeans and put on your blue eye shadow to test how well you know this era. You can come with a maximum of six friends, reserve your spot for this free and fun event!
  • The Pulitzer Prize-winning play Cat on a Hot Tin Roof will be starring on the mainstage at Walnut Street Theatre. Get your tickets to view this American classic masterpiece!

 

Thursday 3/2

  • Calling all Nessa Barret fans! The singer and Tik Tok star is coming to Philly and will be performing at The Fillmore. Grab your tickets to get a chance to see her sing all of her hit songs.
  • The Philadelphia Museum of Art is having its Highlights of the Museum tour from 11 AM – 12 PM. During the tour, you’ll be able to view some of the most famous treasures and pieces they have. The tour is first come first serve so be sure to get there early!

Friday 3/3

  • A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is continuing his Me vs. Myself Tour. The rapper will be performing at Noto, grab your tickets before it sells out!
  • The Opening Reception: The Mashrabiya Project will be taking place at the Museum for Art in Wood. This free event will give you the opportunity to connect with fellow artists and a first look at the exhibit.  

Saturday 3 / 4

  • Join Indie Fashion Calendar for one of Philly’s top events in business and fashion. The Philadelphia Business Expo and Fashion Show is free for all who attend. There will be speakers, fashion designers, vendors, and more! Reserve your free spot.
  • The Kicking Cancer Foundation is inviting everyone to Thunderbird Lanes for their 2023 Bowling for a Cure event. You can bowl alone or bring friends and family for up to five people per lane. Tickets to the events will get you three hours of bowling, shoe rental, free pizza, and two drinks. Come out for a fun time and great cause. 

Sunday 3 / 5

  • The World Premiere Disney 100 The Exhibition is now open! Spend your Sunday with family and friends exploring The Walt Disney Archives. The exhibition will be showcasing over 250 artifacts, costumes, props, and more. There are also special behind the scene features and ten galleries filled with interactive installations and more! Grab your tickets to explore all the magic of Disney. 
  • The 2023 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show is finally here! They have seven different immersive exhibits, four shops, as well as multiple events and tours. With so much on your, Sunday will be a fun one, get your tickets to experience it all.
