Want a fun way to give back this summer while getting fit? The Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation is hosting their 6th annual Sandy Sprint Sea Isle City Run/Walk on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Excursion Park (2 41st St, Sea Isle City, NJ 08243). This 5K run/walk raises awareness of ovarian cancer and funds to advance research.
The foundation has hosted a run/walk in Philadelphia every April for 18 years and counting but more recently has started hosting one at the Jersey shore (one of our favorite summer spots!) to bring awareness to more people about ovarian cancer.
The Sandy Sprint Sea Isle City includes a 5K Run, 2-mile Family Fun Walk, Survivor Ceremony, and more. Participants create a fundraising page to help reach their goal and are welcome to join a team or create their own. Registration Fees are $40 for adults, $30 for children under 12, and $40 for virtual participants. Timeline of events: race day registration starts at 7:15 a.m., 5K starts at 8:30 a.m., Family Fun Walk starts at 8:35 a.m., and awards and refreshments are at 9:30 a.m.
