Happy November, Philly!

Whether you chose to spend it in or out of the city, we hope you had a fun and safe “Halloweekend”! Well, as we enter a new month, there are tons of things to look forward to this week! Whether you’re a City Girl stan, curious to taste the secret menu of Insomnia Cookies via secret locations, or running with Gritty at his 5K, there’s much to do #ThisWeekInPhilly!

November 1

  • 1, 2, 3 ,4 ,5, 6ers! The Portland Trail Blazers will be facing the 76ers tonight at the Wells Fargo Center at 7! Get tickets now!
  • We have a secret for you! Insomnia Cookie Lab Speakeasy is a fun-filled mysterious event where you can indulge in never-before-tasted cookies from the secret menu. Get it from behind the bookcase or order in the alley. Who knew cookies and mysteries would be such a fun duo?! 

November 2

  • Hayes Carll, Texas country singer-songwriter, is coming to the Ardmore Music Hall tonight at 8! 
  • Acclaimed pianist worldwide, Richard Goode, is bringing his rare combination of grandness and humility, boldness and insight to the Perelman Theater tonight at 7:30!

November 3

  • The Magnetic Fields w/ Christian Lee Hutson is coming to City Winery* tonight at 8! It’ll be a fun night where you can indulge in City Winery’s menu while listening to The Magnetic Fields’ new release “Quickies”.

November 4

  • Join curator Bryan Hoffman for a conversation with artists János Korodi, Alex Griffin, Katee Boyle, and Matt Nelson about HOTBED’s exhibition, Hidden Threads from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.! Tickets are free, register here!
  • The brand new venue, Brooklyn Bowl Philly, has its grand opening tonight! The three-day party “Bowlive” ft. George Porter Jr. will kickstart with soul-jazz trio Soulive! Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at  8:30 p.m.
  • Lovable Monsters presents Stand Up at Stickman Brews tonight at 7:30 p.m. It’ll be a free show that will have you laughing nonstop!

November 5

  • Grab your mat, towel, and only good energy for Trap Yoga Bae Presents Trap Yoga Philly, a Vinyasa-style experience that’s packed with a heavy bass and sounds of trap all spun by a live DJ! 
  • TGIF! Kick-off the weekend and spend your Friday night with R3hab @ Noto
  • Commonweal Gallery* opens its November Exhibition tonight! Featuring two female artists, this month’s artwork focuses on embracing the authenticity of one’s self and surroundings. Stop by tonight at 6pm!

November 6

  • Calling all City Girls & 42 Dugg stans! Dope Shows* presents City Girls & 42 Dugg tonight at 8!
  • Time to walk for a cause, Philly! The Gritty 5K presented by Penn Medicine is back and better than ever where runners can attend the event in-person or virtually! Come in your Gritty costume, bring friends, and as Gritty strongly states… “Get weird!” Honor the Flyers Charities legacy of supporting local families impacted by cancer the Philly way!
