April 5
- It’s National Health Week and Temple University’s College of Public Health is holding the Public Health Advocacy for North Philadelphia program. This is an event to focus on public health advocacy to support community priorities. This online discussion will feature a panel of North Philadelphia residents discussing health issues they see in their neighborhood. Tune in from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Are you an artist or an aspiring artist? Well, the Woodmere Art Museum is having drawing and painting adult classes and workshops! From 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., you can enjoy a beginner-level class from the comfort of your own home. The class will teach things like what makes an interesting composition, how to shade, and how to give your pictures character and depth. Register for your tickets today!
April 6
- Painting With A Twist is back with another session! From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., come out to have fun with friends or the perfect date night. This adult painting class is always a hit and something you don’t want to miss! All art supplies will be provided and you can bring your own food and beverages. Register today as tickets may sell out quickly!
- The Philadelphia Jazz Legacy project is hosting an online series focusing on jazz in Philadelphia with Philly Jazz Talk. The discussion this day will be about Hasaan ibn Ali, a Philadelphia pianist, and composer. The event will feature Alan Sukoenig, the discoverer of Hasaan’s lost studio tapes. April 7
- If you’re looking for something fun to do with your kids, Drexel University is calling all “curious kiddos” to grab their favorite toy and join in for a preschool party! Children ages three to six are invited to have fun at the Paleo Playdate with Academy experts for a science storytime! The online event is from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Admission is “pay-what-you-wish” but the suggested donation is $10 per child.
- Philadelphia Open Studio Tours (POST) is now online! Starting April 7, artists can join to virtually visit more than 30 studio spaces and interact with other artists every Wednesday in April. Each session will feature a new selection of Philadelphia artists working from different parts of our creative city. This event is free and will take place at 6 p.m. Register today!

- It’s Trivia Time! The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is hosting their Philly Take Steps Kickoff: Virtual Trivia Night! At 6 p.m. you can test your knowledge and earn some great prizes… you can also use this opportunity to mix and network! Registration is $5 per device. You’ll receive the Zoom link upon registration!
- Get A Taste of African Heritage with Coleman Library. In these virtual cooking sessions, you’ll learn the healthy food traditions of people with African roots. The free virtual class is from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m… just in time for dinner! Learn new rich recipes and cooking techniques of Caribbean, South American, and African culture.
April 9
- Want to learn about Abraham Lincoln’s visit to Philly in 1948? Join a course! Main Line School Night is offering the online course Abraham Lincoln Visits Philadelphia. In this session, you’ll learn about Lincoln’s impact and significance to our city! Sounds interesting right? Register today!
- It’s Restaurant Week in Northern Liberties!! Enjoy a two-course lunch for $10 or $15 and/or a three-course dinner menu for $15, $20 or $25! This restaurant week features some of our favorite restaurants (Set NoLibs, Anejo and Bourbon & Branch to name a few) in one of the top dining areas in the city! Book your reservations quickly as restaurants are still adhering to the CDC guidelines and capacity limits!

- There’s a virtual Philly Ghost Walking Tour happening #ThisWeekInPhilly. That’s right! A guide will take you on a virtual tour of Philly from their home. The tour will feature ghastly tales and some spooky things and sites in our city. If you’re interested and ready to be frightened, register today!
- It’s virtual comedy time! The “On the Zoom Comedy Show” is bringing back the laughs. John Deming, James Mac, Wendy Wilkins, and Mike Peters will be performing.
