Monday, August 17
  • Join TransWork’s Virtual Job Prep Workshop for trans-identified and gender non-binary folks in Greater Philadelphia! The event will cover topics such as resume prep, knowledge of legal rights, mock interviews, networking, and more! A trans-friendly employer list will also be provided.   • Tonight, get out and join Michelle and Tahsin at Penn Treaty Park for some outdoor yoga! Don’t forget your mat and water! Register online here.
  • The sixers play tonight at 6:30 p.m. and you don’t want to miss the action! Tune in at NBC Sports Philadelphia or listen in through the radio at 97.5 The Fanatic! Check here for more games happening this week.
Tuesday, August 18
  • Today is the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment which gave women in the US the right to vote. Old City’s Clay Studio celebrates by opening the 100 years, 100 women exhibition, where 50 artists were to choose 2 women they admire and honor, and create a modern day commemorative plate. 
  • Join IBM’s August ConnX LGBTQ+ Networking Event tonight, via Zoom, at 5:30 p.m.! The event is open to IBA members and non-members. Bring your friends along and don’t forget to register here
  • Cheer on the Phillies while they play ball against the Red Sox at 7:30 p.m.! You can live stream the event here or watch through NBC Sports Philadelphia. Don’t forget to cheer our Phillies on throughout the week by checking out the schedule here.  
Wednesday, August 19 
  • Tacos and trivia? Say no more! Head on over to Rosy’s Taco Bar for Trivia Night at 8 p.m.! 1st place winners will receive a $50 prize! RSVP here in advance for an extra 20 points! 
  • Struggling with Google Analytics? Join Brandon Leibowitz’ virtual webinar: Google Analytics for Beginners: Tips & Tricks at 1 p.m. and learn how to quickly navigate through Google Analytics to find important info about your audience and make better-informed marketing decisions!   • The Flyers are in the playoffs and you can cheer them on tonight at 8 p.m. against the Montreal Canadians! You can cheer on the Flyers through the NHL or NBC Sport Philadelphia’s live streams. Thursday, August 20 
  • The BlackStar Film Festival — the annual celebration of the visual and storytelling tradition of the African diaspora and of global communities of color — kicks off today, virtually! Watch films by Black, Brown, and Indigenous people from around the world. Check out the schedule and purchase your day pass for just $5! 
  • It’s Movie Night in the Beer Garden at Goose Island Brewhouse! Join them in the beer garden for an outdoor and socially distant movie night featuring none other than, Step Brothers! Tickets are $5 and you can purchase them online here. You must be 18+ to attend.
Friday, August 21
  • It’s game night with Let’s Roam Scavenger Hunt Adventures! Tune in virtually with friends and family for Philadelphia Virtual Game Night featuring trivia, charades, and even drawing over video! If you’re up for the challenge, you can sign up online here.  
  • Sign up for a one hour tour of the remains of Fort Mercer and the history of the Battle of Red Bank in 1777! The tour is limited to 10 participants, so don’t forget to register! Social distancing and masks will be required throughout the tour. Register and check out more details online here
Saturday, August 22
  • Join Pyschotherapist, Tony Purnell and Entrepreneur, Cierra Williams, for AromaTHERAPY: Candles & Coping workshop. Participants will make a personalized candle and have a discussion around meditation, healing, and coping. Register online here for the event at 6 p.m.!
  • Calling all actors and actresses! At 12 p.m., acting coach, John Pallota will be hosting an Acting for Film and Television workshop, socially distant of course! The class covers everything an actor needs to be a seasoned professional or to launch their career. Click here to register!
