This Week In Philly

This week in Philly is full of spooky events in honor of the scariest day of the year, October 31. Between haunted dance parties and trick or treating at the Aquarium, there’s fun for all ages this Halloween. Monday, October 28
  • Don’t miss your chance to enjoy a week long celebration of the craft of the cocktail at Manayunk Cocktail Week. Visit your favorite Manayunk bars, such as Lucky’s Last Chance or Bourbon Blue, and take part in the variety of tastings, parties, happy hours and more!
  • Looking for a chance to brush up your Spanish language skills, while learning how to cook? Then join the Free Library of Philadelphia Culinary Literacy Center for their cooking class, Edible Alphabet en Español.

  • Head on over to City Tap for Howloween with the Philly Bully Team! Enjoy live music, great drinks, and an array of cute pups dressed up in costumes. Be sure to wear a costume as well for the chance to win a great prize.
  • Get the family together and venture across the Benjamin Franklin Bridge for Trunk or Treat at the Adventure Aquarium. Come trick or treat at the Aquarium and check out the amazing sea life they have to offer.
Thursday, October 31
  • Come dance until you drop at the Barbary Horror Story 2019. Enjoy two stories of fun with a Halloween party downstairs, and 80’s bangers upstairs. Costumes are highly encouraged!
  • Dance on over to Philly’s Premiere Nightclub NOTO for a 3Lau take over on Halloween night. 
  • Be sure to check out the 5th Annual Mischief at the Mutter! This late night beer garden includes two complimentary drink tickets, specialty Halloween kegs, and UNLIMITED snacks.
Friday, November 1
  • Another month means another First Friday at the Philly Art Collective Gallery! Check out this FREE pop up exhibit, with this month’s featured artist being the talented, Joy Masi.
  • Need some ideas for Halloweekend plans? Come get spooky on the deck of The Moshulu at their Dark Waters ft. Prok and Fitch dance party. There will be costume contests, and open bar options are available. 
  • Philly’s quick growing Vegan food scene hosts the second biennial Philly Vegan Awards . Every form of foodie is encouraged to come out and vote as there is something for everyone to try!
Saturday, November 2
  • Head over to Field House for live music from Go Go Gadjet starting at 9pm.
  • The Pennsylvania SPCA is hosting their signature fundraising event, the Bark & Whine Gala! Come enjoy dinner, dancing and drinks to raise money for the PSPCA’s continued commitment and work toward saving the animals of Philadelphia.
  • Check out The Met to “Laugh the night away” as Nick Offerman takes the stage. Laughs start at 8!
  • Hawthorne’s Beer Cafe is shutting down 11th street for their annual The Great Harvest Cider and Beer Festival. This event features over 75 ciders, toasty lagers, pumpkin ales and other delicious drinks that you surely don’t want to miss.
Sunday, November 3
  • Cheer on the Eagles as they take on the Chicago Bears this Sunday at 1pm at Lincoln Financial Field.
  • One word…Pierogies. Make sure to check out St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church as they host their annual Pierogi Festival. Eat in or take out, but be sure to stop by this event full of vendors, ethnic food, baked goods and more!
  • Come dig, drink and be merry at Lucky Strike’s Plant Nite, where plants meet wine!
