Red, white, and blue, Philly is ready for you! If there is one thing to be proud of, it’s that we live in the city where this country began. Celebrate Independence Day all week long with these spectacular patriotic events.


Monday, July 1
  • Hosted by Wawa Welcome America, join the U.S. Army Field Band for a musical celebration of American independence in the city where it all began. Stick around for a handful of interactive activities and a breathtaking fireworks show.
  • Celebrate Franklin Field’s 125th Anniversary with this fan favorite paying tribute to Philadelphia Eagle and local hero, Vince Papale. Take part in activities like testing your football & movie knowledge with trivia hosted by Bobby Mansure.
Tuesday, July 2
  • The Kimmel Center is inviting you to Celebrate the Fourth of July in Philly a few days early with a night filled with endless live performances!
  • Looking to laugh your way to the Fourth? Come see veteran improv team Hoffman put on a completely improvised show at The Philly Improv Theater!
Wednesday, July 3
  • Did you know The Mütter Museum medicinal garden is named after one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence? Celebrate Independence Day the proper way and visit the Mütter Museum for our Summer Beer Garden with full museum access and seasonal sips in the Benjamin Rush Medicinal Plant Garden!
  • The Philly POPS continues its 40-year tradition of performance in front of Independence Hall in POPS on Independence. Featuring The Voices of the POPS and the full 65-piece POPS orchestra, this free, patriotic celebration of America’s birthday will be one you won’t want to miss.
Thursday, July 4
  • Party on the Parkway is back for your favorite Independence Day Celebration. Indulge in diverse food offerings while enjoying entertainment on the Chill Moody Music Stage and the PA Lottery Philly Groove Stage all day long. 
  • Party on the Cira Green Rooftop all Fourth of July with delicious food and drinks, sweeping views of the Philadelphia skyline, and a live DJ. Hosted by Sunset Social, this Fourth of July Rooftop Party will give you views for days.
  • Have a 4th of July staycation at Craft Hall! With indoor and outdoor seating, games and activities for all ages, and delicious BBQ eats. They’ve got all your holiday needs covered, plus weekly Quizzo at 8pm.
  • Photo Pop Philly has the Fourth of July Instagram you’re looking for! Pop in and take pictures right in the birthplace of America with special red, white, and blue props to celebrate!
Friday, July 5
  • Instagrammable pictures and frosé, yay! During First Friday in Old City, Photo Pop will be partnering with Pinot Wine Boutique to provide samples of frosé with a ticket purchase.
  • Join the cities most cultured and energetic crowd as we Vibe, Drink and Celebrate. Boom 103.9’s own DJ Caution joins us again to curate another epic soundtrack for the night. Per usual, exclusive drink specials are on deck with a few extra surprises!
  • Join Thirsty Dice for a Kids On Bikes game night followed by a screening of season 3 episode 1 of Stranger Things. Inspired by 80’s nostalgia, Kids On Bikes is a collaborative, storytelling role playing game by Renegade Games about small towns and big adventures!
Saturday, July 6

Sunday, July 7
  • The Philly Reggae Wine Food & Music Festival is designed to take guests on an epic journey through the Caribbean, showcasing great food, wonderful wines and live soca & reggae music.
  • The 2nd annual Hand & Stone Women’s Philadelphia Triathlon, presented by Inspira Health Network, is unlike ANY OTHER Triathlon on the East Coast. This all women’s sprint triathlon will feature a 300-meter swim in the Kelly Outdoor Pool, 9-mile bike on closed roads, and a scenic 5k run through Fairmount Park.
