The first full week of June is here and Philly has a loaded this week with festivals galore! June is International Gay and Lesbian Pride Month, and Philly celebrates the LGBTQ community all month long with events, marches, festivals and more. We also can’t forget to crack open a cold one this week, because Philly Beer week is here and ready to satisfy all your beer dreams… #ThisWeekInPhilly


Monday, June 3
  • Our best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid that you should totally come to watch Ferris Bueller’s Day Off with us in the garden at Frankford Hall’s Movie Night. A night of games, beer, and the screening of this classic film.
Tuesday, June 4
  • Looking to do something extraordinary this week… try the Succulent Workshop & Drag Show! Come enjoy a fun interactive drag show while learning the basics of planting and caring for your very own succulent arrangement. The cost of your ticket will include all your planting needs and drag performances all night long!  
  • Texas native, Machine Gun Kelly, is making a stop on his World Tour to our city. Come to The Fillmore Philadelphia this Tuesday and see what he’s all about.  
  • Philly Beer Week is a great chance for beer lovers across the City to check out some of the best drafts known to man. Join us at Barcade along with Allagash Brewing Company to check out some limited brews that you’re unlikely to see again.  
Wednesday, June 5
  • Join Chickie’s and Pete’s with their good friends The Sensational Soul Cruisers for their Kickoff Summer Dance Party. Don’t miss an exciting time filled with live music and dancing at their South Philly location… and it’s free too!
  • Come sip a beer (or two) while checking out the work of 10 local artists at Art in the Garden. Presented by The Common Room and held at Frankford Hall; you won’t want to miss this.
  • The moment we’ve been waiting for since last August is here. Happy hour series Center City District Sips kicks off its 2019 season this Wednesday and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.  
  • Don’t want the night to come to an end after SIPS? Head over to Old City for Photo Pop’s first College Night. Tickets will include a complimentary cocktail or beer and a raffle ticket for a chance to win a gift card to City Tap House! In addition, the college organization with the most members in attendance will win a private photoshoot at Photo Pop! 
Thursday, June 6

  • Celebrate Philly Beer Week at one of our favorite spots of the city; The Schuylkill River! Beer & Boats at Bartram’s Garden will be offering kayaks, rowboats, BBQ, and most importantly BEER. Let’s sail away… me, you, and a brew, this Thursday.
  • Join the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ Affairs as we celebrate Pride Month and the 50th anniversary of Stonewall with a City Hall flag raising ceremony and kickoff party! ALL are welcomed.
Friday, June 7
  • The Totally Awesome 80’s party! The best songs from the best decade in music. Enjoy this blast from the past at The Deck Philly and don’t forget your 80’s attire.
  • Spend the late afternoon surrounded by some furry, four-legged friends at Chestnut Hill’s Petapalooza 2019. This event offers activities for both pets and their humans, such as raffles, a paw reader, dog parkour, a caricaturist, and so much more!
  • Calling all makeup gurus! QVC presents the 2019 Beauty Bash, a weekend-long event including sessions with top beauty brands and experts. It’ll be one shining moment after another, with booth activities & experiences, giveaways, speakers, music & more.
  • Photo Pop Philly is joining in on Old City’s, First Friday fun! The purchase of your Photo Pop ticket will include free samples of froze from Pinot Boutique Wine Bar. Instagrammable pictures + froze = love.
Saturday, June 8
  • Bigger. Better. Greener! Join us for the second year revival of Philadelphia’s own celebration of vegan and whole-food-plant-based (wfpb) lifestyles. VegFest 2019 will have food, art, music, and speakers that will make you fall in love with the vegan lifestyle.
  • Get ready for Fishtown’s largest street festival; Fishtown FestivAle, coming rain or shine! This day-long family-friendly street festival takes over Frankford Avenue between Girard and Oxford and fills the street with craft vendors, activities for the kids, street food, cocktails and most importantly beer!
  • Philly Art Collective presents, The PAC Exhibit, celebrating the life of Hip-Hop rap legend Tupac Amaru Shakur. This one-night collective pop-up exhibit will feature over 30 visual art tribute pieces along with free wine and feature select vendors.
Sunday, June 9
  • A pop Up food truck festival is coming to Philly and you’re going to want a bite of it all!  Food Truck Craze will be held at The Shops at Ivy Ridge with free admission and pay-as-you-go food!
  • Guess what we have… more Pride Month activities! Philly Pride Run is back for year number 3 of loud and proud running through the streets of Philadelphia. Come run with our cities finest and show us your pride; there is power in motion!
  • The annual Odunde Festival, one of the largest celebrations of African cultures in the country, returns to Philadelphia this Sunday. With live music, foods from around the world, it is sure to be a full day of culture and entertainment.
