As Thanksgiving passes and November winds down, the winter events are getting into full swing. From light shows to holiday parties, there are so many ways to celebrate #ThisWeekInPhilly. Be sure to share your holiday cheer by tagging us on social media.

Monday, November 26

  • Get the whole family together for Shady Brook Farms Holiday Light Show. Experience the magic of the holidays with over 3 million lights illuminating acres of farmland all from the comfort of your own car.
  • From 7 – 9 pm, Fergies Pub will be hosting their 24th Anniversary Party! The evening will include complimentary bites and live jazz featuring Victor North.
  • Preston & Steve’s Camp Out for Hunger 2018 returns to Xfinity Live! From November 26 – 30, Xfinity Live and Philabundance will be collecting non-perishable from 5:30 am – 11:00 pm.

Tuesday, November 27

  • Gimlet Media’s podcast, The Pitch, comes to Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania for its first-ever live show. Three Philadelphia startups will compete for a spot to appear on a full-episode.
  • Live Tastings at Christmas Village will be taking place throughout the month of December. Wine tastings will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, and beer tastings will be on Wednesdays from 5 – 7 pm.
  • The Fillmore hosts A Drag Queen Christmas -The Naughty Tour. All ages are welcome to get in the holiday spirit with all-star queens of Logo TV’s RuPaul’s Drag Race.
  • The Market & Shops at Comcast Center host Wine Tasting with a Twist. While sampling from Ampel Wine, guests can create a candle with the local makers of Wax + Wine.
  • Cheer on your Philadelphia Flyers as they take on the Ottawa Senators at 7 pm. The game is also hosting a special Love Your Melon Purple Hat Night.

Wednesday, November 28

  • On Wednesdays from 4 – 6 pm, stop by HoHo Happy Hour at Christmas Village for discounted food, drinks and board game specials from Thirsty Dice.
  • Stop by City Hall for the annual Philly Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. Entertainment for the evening will include Gritty, The Phanatic, R&B star Vivian Green, American Idol stars Catie Turner and Michael Woodard, The Philly POPS, and more!
  • Eat, drink, and be merry this season at Stag & Doe Nights tradition in Chestnut Hill. From 6 – 9 pm, experience all the holiday cheer Germantown Avenue’s shops and restaurants have to offer.
  • Catch artist Amine and Buddy at the TLA at 8 pm. Tickets are available online now!
  • The Wells Fargo Center hosts the former First Lady of the United States. On her book tour, Becoming: An Intimate Conversation with Michelle Obama, dives into emotional topics from her memoir.

Thursday, November 29

  • Celebrate the season at Historic Holidays in Old City. This year’s kickoff celebration and tree lighting begin at 5 pm at The Betsy Ross House courtyard.
  • The Philadelphia Wine & Cocktail Festival takes over the Crystal Tea Room at 5:30 pm for VIPs and 6:30 pm for general admission. Experience over 80 varieties of wine from local wineries, tequilas, whiskeys, bourbons, vodkas, and more!
  • Concourse hosts its very own Ugly Sweater Holiday Party with all proceeds raised supporting Philly music and arts. The evening will include cash prizes for ugliest sweater, drink specials, and special guest DJs.

Friday, November 30

  • Chill out (literally) at Lemon Hill Mansion’s Ice Bar grand opening. From 5 – 9pm, stop by Fairmount Park and enjoy ice art with theatrical lighting designs. Cider, brews, and food trucks will be on site while you enjoy them around fire pits with live entertainment.
  • Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest hosts its annual Holiday Tree Lighting powered by PECO. Headliners include Jackie Verna, Bianca Ryan, and the list goes on.
  • Spend your Friday night sipping craft beers and cocktails at the Philly Winter Warm Up. This craft beer and festive cocktail celebration at 23rd Street Armory features over 30 breweries and over 15 specialty drinks.
  • Drexel University hosts its 1st Annual Ideas We Should Steal Festival. Spend the evening looking at ways other cities have fixed urban challenges, hearing from civic innovators, and connecting with local leaders.  
  • PAX Unplugged 2018 takes over the Pennsylvania Convention Center for two full days to celebrate tabletop gaming of all varieties.
  • Cheer on the Philadelphia 76ers as they take on the Washington Wizards at the Wells Fargo Center at 7pm.

Saturday, December 1

  • YOGA HIVE Philly will offer a Micro Pig Yoga session. Following the class, enjoy a vegan spread from Green Eggs Cafe and cocktails from Kronenbourg.
  • Catch rapper Travis Scott perform his Astroworld Tour live at Wells Fargo Center at  7pm.
  • Get ready to party in comfy style! It’s Always Onesie in Philadelphia Bar Crawl starts at 6 pm at JJ Bootleggers in Old City. Every participating venue has drink specials and some have awesome food specials as well.
  • Don’t miss Penn Jazz perform its Fall 2018 show: Red, White, and Blues at the Rose Recital Hall. Come out for a night of American Jazz classics, swinging tunes, and  soulful blues.

Sunday, December 2

  • Shop for all your needs this season at Porta Philadelphia’s* Holiday Pop-Up Market. Find apparel, jewelry, bags, art, and more while supporting local artisans and makers. Shoppers are sure to find unique holiday gifts for anyone on their list.  
  • LUSH invites you to make your own Butterbeer Bath Bomb! While making your bath bomb, let their expert gift-givers help you find the perfect gifts this holiday season.
  • The Loop Run, hosted by Bryn Mawr Racing Company, follows one of Philadelphia’s most beautiful recreational path. This 8.4 mile fall classic around the Schuylkill River has been a favorite for 46 years.
  • Sweat Fitness is offering special Puppy Yoga classes this weekend at 9:30 and 10:30 am. All proceeds will benefit Morris Animal Refuge.
  • Maggiano’s invites little chefs to create and decorate their own gingerbread house.This gingerbread cooking class is the perfect family activity to get in the holiday spirit.
