Monday, April 16

  • From now until Earth Day (April 22) join Green Philly for its social media campaign: #ItsAlwaysGreenInPhilly. Snap a photo showing how you are environmentally friendly and share it to social media with #ItsAlwaysGreenInPhilly and @GreenPhillyBlog.
  • Following the StrEAT Food Festival, Manayunk Spring Restaurant Week kicks off today. Participating restaurants have special menu offerings from some of Manayunk’s finest eateries with specially priced fixed menus.

Tuesday, April 17 – Happy Tax Day!

  • Experience Bank & Bourbon’s finest food and drink while supporting a great cause at the 4th Annual Bourbon Bash! Guests will enjoy signature dishes and bourbon-aged lager brewed by Flavor Philadelphia partner Saint Benjamin exclusively for Bank & Bourbon. Proceeds from this event will benefit DonorsChoose.org, an organization that supports educational needs and programs in the Tri-State area.
  • Come out to Pilgrim Roasters cafe for an Essential Oils 101 class. Learn about what essential oils are, how to use them safely and effectively, and be empowered with natural solutions.

Wednesday, April 18

  • Makers Gonna Make: Next Steps + Structures for Creatives at CultureWorks is a conversation exploring the advantages and disadvantages of for-profits and nonprofits, as well as fiscal sponsorship. Attendees will also learn more about helpful resources and get one-on-one time.
  • Kimmel Center’s Sittin In’, a Free, Live Music Jam Session, featuring Who Got the Jazz, has put the spotlight on some of Philly’s finest. Catch our very own Chill Moody* as one of the performers making featuring it an unforgettable enjoyable night.

Thursday, April 19

  • How do you feel when conflicts emerge? If tense or uneasy are your first thought, then this workshop is for you. PACA @ CW // Conflict Management: How to manage and use it, will help you identify your comfort zone with handling conflict and challenge you to try something else, as well as practice self-management tools for confronting and managing interpersonal conflict.
  • Dine and donate at the same time at Dining Out For Life 2018. Close to 200 restaurants across the Delaware Valley will be participating in this special night. When you dine at a participating restaurant, 33% of your check will be donated to Action Wellness* and other area service organizations. Get out and dine for a good cause!
  • Check out the animal-themed Trivia Night at Tattooed Mom for a good cause! 20% of proceeds from the evening’s bar sales will benefit the PSPCA’s life-saving mission. Bring your friends and compete for fun quizzo prizes.
  • Join sibling authors André and Tenaya Darlington at Art in the Age from 6–8 p.m. for a Booze and Vinyl book signing. Enjoy tastings of specially crafted cocktails signed books, music, and raffle prizes. You’ll also have a chance to check out the mobile record store van from Crosley Turntables.

Friday, April 20

  • Did you know… social media posts that include images can help increase your engagement by 650%! Learn how to use Canva, a free design tool, to up your visual content game at Lunch & Learn: Canva for Social Media. Bring your computers and be ready to be hands-on in making creative new images.
  • Get out of your comfort zone at ‘THAI Something New’ cooking class. Learn to make papaya salad, chicken satay in a peanut sauce, and pad thai noodles with tofu using key ingredients in Thai cooking. Wine, infused water, and sweet thai tea will be served.
  • For two days, D2D: Dare To Dance is having their 5th Annual Showcase FLAVORS at Temple University’s Conwell Hall. Experience a full show featuring many styles of dance with special surprises and tributes.

Saturday, April 21

Sunday, April 22 – Happy Earth Day!

  • Celebrate Earth Day with your local vegan and veg-friendly vendors at Philly Vegan Pop Flea- Mother Earth Market. Located on the 2nd floor of Tattooed Mom, be prepared to shop all natural products and celebrate the beautiful planet we live on.
  • The monthly CAGE Monthly Khmer Dance Workshops begins at 10 a.m. Join Cambodian American Girls Empowering to learn basics of Khmer dance, dance stretches, and basic conversational language. This event is free and open to all levels and ages.
  • Dig out your old school gear for Saved by the Brunch at Vesper Sporting Club. This 90s themed brunch will give you complete 90s vibes while providing you with awesome menu special.
