As the month “marches” on, we’re getting ready for the first official day of Spring this week! This week hosts a variety of Women’s History Month events throughout the city. Monday, March 19
- Join The Walnut Club and their partner, Justice Bell Foundation, for a fascinating panel discussion: “Time’s Up! The Women’s Rights Movement.” In honor of Women’s History Month, hear from three local activists share their knowledge and experiences.
- Local 44 throws a unique happy hour in the Bottle Shop every Monday from 6 – 8 p.m! Join them for brewery representative led complimentary tastings and specials from Star Hill, this week’s local brewery selection.

Wednesday, March 21
- Join distinguished author and speaker Stewart Friedman, Practice Professor of Management Director, at Emerging Leaders Series: New Choices for Men and Women in Work and Family, part of the Power W series.
- Join CultureWorks Greater Philadelphia for a conversation exploring the advantages and disadvantages of for-profits and nonprofits, as well as fiscal sponsorship. Makers Gonna Make: Next Steps + Structures for Creatives is the conversation to help artists, or anyone thrive.
- Women in Business presents Creating Empowering Corporate Cultures. The panel discussion will be on the “State of Things” of women, queer, non-binary, and trans-identified people in business. All are welcomed and encouraged to attend this informative discussion.
Thursday, March 22
- Celebrate Women’s History Monday at DVLF’s* March Our Night Out – Philly at the brand new Concourse Dance Bar. This month all proceeds go to the Leeway Foundation, a grantmaking program honoring women and trans artists creating social change through their work. ONO is from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. then join them for a special after party at The Toasted Walnut!
- Philadelphia Wine Week 2018 kicks off today with their official opening ceremony, Opening Corks! Celebrate with the wine community of Philadelphia with a big week of exciting wine and food events across the city. Mingle with other winos at the event’s largest venue to date, The 23rd Street Armory.
- The Rad Fest Women’s Expo celebrates all women and strives towards inclusivity and diversity. Bringing together women-driven businesses, this is a great opportunity for networking and celebration in honor of Women’s History Month.
Friday, March 23
- The Electric Lady Series of women-centered events will celebrate womanhood and expand the narratives of women today. Events will last through March 26 of next week.
