Monday, March 12
  • It’s the last day to see works by the remarkable contemporary artist Anselm Kiefer, created in response to sculptures and drawings by Auguste Rodin. Held at the Barnes Foundation, don’t miss this breathtaking exhibit.  
  • Drexel University hosts its annual Philly Chef Conference.This event brings in top names in food and restaurants showcasing the latest food and beverage ideas and techniques through educational lectures, panel discussions, and demonstrations.

Thursday, March 15
  • At the Best of Manayunk Cocktail Party 2018, the long-awaited winners in each category will be revealed! Bring your dancing shoes and your best cocktail attire for this fun event that benefits the Manayunk Beautification Program.
  • Presented by Leeway Foundation and CultureWorks, Understanding Taxes for Artists will be bringing tax consultant Christianne Kapps to offer instruction and advice, help alleviate fears, and answer confusing questions for artists on taxes.
  • Explore the world of Irish beers and discover their place in beer history at the St. Patrick’s Day Irish Beer Tasting. Held at the Alchemist Society, this event will definitely get you in the holiday spirit.

 

Friday, March 16
  • Get Pegged Cabaret feat. Becca Blackwell is the daring, and delightful show you need to see. In partnership with the William Way LGBTQ Community Center, FringeArts hosts this uncensored performance starting at 10:30 p.m.
  • Join Bumble & Peroni at Bumble’s March Madness Happy Hour, held at Founding Fathers Sports Bar & Grill. Go solo, or bring your match and enjoy a free drink and swag by showing your Bumble profile.
  • Haute Restaurant and Lounge hosts VIBE (Hip Hop – Cocktails – Good People). Enjoy your favorites jams from the 2000s, as well as food and drink specials in this chill vibe night.
  • Color Flow Workshop is the colorful and zen experience you don’t want to miss! Taught by the talented Jessica London, learn how to create abstract paintings with photorealistic details, which you get to take home with you. Space is limited!

 

Saturday, March 17- Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
  • The 2nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Philly Official Bar Crawl will be kicking off at the top o’ the morning (or afternoon) this St. Patrick’s Day! This year, crawl through Old City to  celebrate Philadelphia’s great Irish Heritage. Expect tons of free swag and holiday specials.
  • If you enjoy craft cocktails and learning new recipes, join the talented craft mixologist, Josh Moon at St. Patty’s Mixology at Queerality. He’ll provide tips and tricks to new Irish drink recipes, but seats are limited!
  • Get Healthy Philly, a public health initiative of the city’s Department of Public Health, hosts a Health Justice Summit. Join community advocates, organizations, and professionals in the health and nutrition fields as they address some of the issues of systemic injustice that negatively impact the health of our communities.
  • Make your voices heard! Join artist and activist Aram Han Sifuentes in the Those Who Talk Back Workshop. Get a first-hand look at an artist’s creative process and learn to make a protest banner of your own.

 

Sunday, March 18
  • Nurse your “Irish flu” at bottomless brunch, St. Patrick’s Day Edition at Vesper Sporting Club. Featuring $25 bottomless mimosas, enjoy a delicious brunch menu and a featured DJ to dance your hangover away!
  • Led by Germantown-based poet and Liberian immigrant, Trapeta B. Mayson is hosting a Poetry Workshop. These workshops are open to everyone, despite any previous writing experience. Bring your imagination to this freeing and inspired workshop.
