On Monday, May 11, the Independence Business Alliance* will be holding their 5th Annual Business Leaders Luncheon, presented by West Laurel Hill, which celebrates the achievements of the LGBT community. The Independence Business Alliance (IBA) is the Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Chamber of Commerce for the Greater Philadelphia region. The IBA provides opportunities, access and resources to LGBT professionals and allies in the Greater Philadelphia area to promote economic development, growth, diversity and leadership in our region.
The theme of this year’s luncheon is Business First where one lucky IBA member-owned business will be awarded the PNC Bank LGBT Business Award of $10,000 (twice as much as last year!) to support the winning recipient’s plan for growth. Close to 200 corporate and community partners, government officials, business owners, and working professionals will gather together for an exceptional networking opportunity before the keynote address from the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) President and Co-Founder, Justin Nelson.
This event will be hosted at Hotel Sofitel’s Paris Ballroom from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sponsors include PHL Diversity, PECO, Hotel Sofitel, AstraZeneca, Beneficial Bank, Philadelphia Business Journal, Philadelphia FIGHT, Philly PR Girl, Borislow, Factor & Kaufmann, Elsevier, En Route Marketing, Integrity Staffing Solutions, Nurse Partners, Inc., PGN, Mazzoni Center, and MedicTek. If you want to promote your company, the IBA is still accepting sponsors. If you’re interested in attending the 2015 Business Leaders Luncheon, you can purchase tickets here. As a reminder, tickets will not be available at the door – so make sure to get them before it’s too late!
