Our friends at Chatterblast hosted the 2nd Annual Flip Cup Tournament to benefit the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society on Friday, April 17. It was definitely a blast! There was a total of 46 teams competing at Field House Sports Bar to win the flip cup trophy, which was literally a red solo cup glued onto the stem of a trophy. Last year, the event raised more than $5,000 to benefit the National MS Society. This year’s goal was to double that. Successfully, the event raised over 10K for MS Society and Mazeppa Productions, an organization dedicated to the art of musical theatre.
At the end, the winner was Team Voyager – a very worthy opponent us Philly PR Girls were lucky enough to play against. Field House was packed with players ready to flip cups and down that beer like their life depended on it. It was intensely fun and the gaming adrenaline was running wild. The turnout for the event was beyond what we could have imagined.
It was great to see everyone working (and drinking) towards a cause that is so close to all of our hearts. Plus, the passion and dedication was hard to beat. Every team had custom-made shirts with clever flip cup puns and cute flip cup headbands! We have to give a big shout out to Red Dog Designs for our beautiful branded t-shirts. Everyone loved them!
The night didn’t end after the final flip cup death match, either. Participants stuck around to network, take pictures and drink more brews, offered for free courtesy of Bud Light.
Special thanks to Chatterblast for having us and throwing such an awesome event for the MS Society! To see more photos visit us on Facebook!
