Smashburger PA’s Grand Opening

Move over Five Guys and Bobby’s Burger Palace… there’s a new burger chain in town.  Today Pennsylvania welcomes its first Smashburger, where the burgers are literally smashed-to-order on the grill.  With success across the United States, Smashburger finds its PA debut on the Main Line’s Lancaster Avenue in Radnor.

Aside from the classic burger fixings, Smashburger will offer a regionally-inspired menu which takes our local flavors and creates unique menu items, including the Philly Smashburger.  Made of 100% Angus beef patty topped with grilled onions, Cheez Whiz® and Gulden’s Mustard® on a pretzel bun, it’s a true representation of what a Philly burger should be.  Other creative flavor combinations are truffle mushroom swiss on an egg bun, spicy baja on a chipotle-spiced bun, and avocado club on multigrain bun.  Despite being smashed fairly thin, all the sandwiches were impressively moist and flavorful.

Other than hamburgers, they do offer a variety of different options that includes Smashchicken® sandwiches, veggie black bean burger, salads, and milkshakes.  We highly recommend skipping the regular fries and getting the Smashfries seasoned with garlic, olive oil, and rosemary.  With something for everybody, the place is sure to be a smash hit in Philly area.  Be on the lookout for another location coming soon (perhaps in a suburb across the bridge).
