Monday, July 15th

  • Nicole Miller Philadelphia’s Semi-Annual Sale – From the 15th – 31st, sportswear, cocktail dresses, evening gowns and accessories are marked down 50-80% at Nicole Miller locations in the Bellevue on South Broad St. and Manayunk.
  • Relient K tour – Just two weeks after dropping their much anticipated album, Collapsible Lung, the U.S.’s favorite contemporary Christian rock band plays the TLA with The Almost and The Rocketboys.

Tuesday, July 16th

  • Illumination – James Oliver Gallery debuts a new exhibit this week from Denise Fike, Melanie Miller and Aubrie Costello, whose work bridges the gap between art and fashion with colorful acrylic and watercolor pieces.
  • 12 Angry Men – GoKash Productions’ rendition of the classic judicial drama is being put on at the Plays and Players Theatre through July 28th.

Wednesday, July 17th

  • Lunchtime Concert Series – Pop group Life’s A Beach will play outdoors at 1700 Market Street during 12-1:30 PM, as part of the Center City District’s weekly series happening every Wednesday this summer.
  • Best of Philly Kick-Off Party – PhillyMag celebrates 40 years in delivering readers the “Best of Philly”, from restaurants and bars to shopping and service. The party takes place at 3rd Ward, a cool new learning center for arts and business in Kensington.
  • Bad Company and Lynyrd Skynard – There must be something in the water that’s bringing all of these older artists out from the woodwork and onto the stage… and it’s probably the same thing that’s beguiling fans into buying $120 tickets.
  • SIPS at Magic Garden to support ART/GAGE, the annual arts festival.

Thursday, July 18th

Friday, July 19th

  • Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival – Just a tad more hardcore than Warped Tour… with Mastodon, Rob Zombie, Amon Amarth, and Five Finger Death Punch headlining the festival over in Camden.
  • My Dinner with Dito: A How to be Gay Cabaret – Philly favorites, the Bearded Ladies Cabaret, come to the Wilma Theater from the 17th to the 27th with an original piece “exploiting and exploding stereotypes of what it means to be gay”. Free bento box samples from London Grill and Paris Wine Bar will be served during the show.

Saturday, July 20th

  • Citadel EP Release Party with Cheers Elephant, Lucy Stone, WC Lindsay & special DJ Set by Money, Fame, & Love at Milkboy!
  • Summer Ale Festival at the Philadelphia Zoo – Sample over 30 craft beers paired alongside local eats at this special summer day at the zoo. Tickets get you zoo admission, a souvenir cup, sampling at beer and food stations, and free parking or shuttle service to and from 30th Street Station. (we should cover, see who’s available)
  • Electric Run – An electric night race (or walk) through West Fairmount Park which incorporates glow sticks, neon lights, and electronica music. Tickets are 98% sold out for Philly, so get yours fast!
  • Celtic Heritage Festival – Graeme Park holds its annual two-day weekend in honor of Scottish heritage, which includes activities such as Irish dancing, drum bands, a haggis eating contest, border collie demonstration, and more.
  • America’s Most Wanted Festival 2013 – Starring Lil’ Wayne, T.I., and 2 Chainz at the Susquehanna Bank Center.

Sunday, July 21st

  • Jazz Brunch – What’s better than a $15 brunch, buffet-style? If you add some live jazz music to it! Sax player Clay Jackson and The Connections play from 12 to 3 pm at Cornucopia.
  • Star Wars Day – Though it’s not May the 4th, Star Wars is being celebrated all day at the Please Touch Museum! Kids can check out iconic toys from the film’s debut, meet their favorite characters from the movies, make galactic art, and more.
  • Avenue Q – After last season’s popular showing of Spring Awakening, Mazzeppa Productions is bringing the joy and laughter of the nation’s favorite puppet theatre show to Christ Neighborhood Church in Old City.
