Dirty Dancing- The Classic Musical On Stage

The classic love story between iconic characters Baby and Johnny are coming to a stage near you! Starting on May 16th through May 21st, the theatrical adaptation of hit movie Dirty Dancing will have audiences in awe as their favorite scenes unfold right before their eyes. The performance is filled with the joyous essence of the original. Experience that heart-pounding music, romance and sensational dancing in ways that you have never witnessed before! 

Motown The Musical 

Motown The Musical portrays the legendary story of Hitsville U.S.A. founder Berry Gordy, Jr and the career launches of heavy hitters including Michael Jackson, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and more. Discover the music that made America move together on May 30th through June 11th at the Academy of Music. The musical highlights the fight that musicians battled to create the young sound of America. Audiences will revel in Motown classics and the musical magic that would forever change the beat of the nation.

Fresh Air with Terry Gross with guest Seth Meyers 

Beloved WHYY host Terry Gross and Late Night’s Seth Meyers celebrate Fresh Air’s 30th Anniversary on June 9th at 8:30 p.m. in Verizon Hall. Embark on an evening of laughter, surrounded by political and social issues with forthrightness and wit. Known for his SNL “Weekend Update” performance, Seth Meyers is sure to engage the audience with his ability to comedically dissect public affairs.

Fun Home 

Growing up is never easy under the roof of our parents. Fun Home delves into the growing pains of Alison as she embarks on three monumental moments in her adolescent years. From June 13th to June 18th, come to the Forrest Theater to experience a refreshingly honest musical on the realization of seeing your parents through grown up eyes! 

Buddy :The Buddy Holly Story 

The most influential performer of his time, Buddy Holly rose to superstardom in 1957 just two years prior to his tragic death. From June 24th through July 9th at the Perelman Theater, relive his greatest moments through more than 20 hits. Songs include Peggy Sue, Oh Boy, That’ll Be The Day, Everyday, Words of Love, Not Fade Away, and many more!
