Monday, July 11

  • Shofuso Summer Camp! Taste of Japan Week starts this week. Campers will take a tasty tour of Japan during this week long camp. From sushi to sweets, campers will roll up their sleeves to create culinary masterpieces. The week will focus on Japanese food traditions as well as turning food into art in the form of decorative bento boxes.
  • Grammy-nominated, Emily King, is performing tonight at Union Transfer, and tickets are still on sale.

Tuesday, July 12

  • Celebrate Bastille Day with Chloe Johnston’s Bastille Day Fireman’s Ball! Enjoy French favorites like crêpes, an open wine and beer bar, entertainment from Philly’s own Mr. Hollywood DJ.*
  • Celebrate all things politics and food with Dishing DNC. Listen to live interviews where local leaders will discuss their favorite “Philly classics” and recommend Philadelphia area bars, restaurants and food trucks.

Wednesday, July 13

  • Contrast the many generations of high-rise apartment building architecture with the Rittenhouse Square West Architecture Walking Tour. Walk past high-rise apartment buildings representing all of the 20th century, grand houses, and some of Philly’s most fashionable brownstones.
  • Join in on the DNC fun by participating in Donkey Around Town. Search around the city for 57 donkeys painted to represent each state, Washington D.C and the six U.S territories.
  • Enjoy dinner and a movie at La Peg with FREE screenings. Food and drinks are available for purchase from La Peg. This week’s movie is Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

Thursday, July 14

  •   Waterfront Sessions at Spruce Street Harbor Park are every Thursday night and feature local artists. This weeks session features Reef the Lost Cauze and Camp Candle.
  •  University City Dining Days kicks off today! Dining Days is the “3 courses, 3 prices” promotion at some of University City’s most popular dining destinations. From exceptional craft beer bars to celebrity chef restaurants to cozy BYOBs, University City’s international dining scene features dishes from India, Ethiopia, China, Vietnam, and beyond.
  • Manayunk’s Stroll the Street features local food trucks, artists, and antique vendors popping up along Main Street. Select Manayunk restaurants will also feature $5 appetizers and $5 cocktail options.   

Friday, July 15

  • Kick back and relax as you enjoy some classic tunes and award-winning local wine at the start of Chaddsford Winery’s Friday Night Concert Series. This month’s featured artist is Lower Case Blues.

Sunday, July 17

  • Celebrate National Blueberry Month in July with everything blue at Bluegrass and Blueberries at Peddler’s Village! Come hungry and ready for a weekend brimming with locally grown blueberries and blueberry treats plus bluegrass and country music acts. The event is held rain or shine. Admission and parking are free.
