What’s going on This Week in Philly…

Monday, March 21

  • The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education is holding its Spring Break Camp for kids all week. Explore fields, forests, and ponds in our area, and sign up for as many or few days as you’d like. This camp is for kids ages five to 12.

Tuesday, March 22

  • The Kimmel Center is presenting Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at the Academy of Music! This is a must-see show, and if you can’t go opening night, the show is performing until April 3.
  • Dress in business attire and join the Philadelphia Business Journal for a one-hour power lunch to network and learn more about career advantages. The Lead Generation Seminar is from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 23

  • Go to a film screening of Miss Representation at New Century Trust. This award-winning film explains the mainstream media and culture’s contribution to the under-representation of women in power and influence and America. This is the perfect event for Women’s History Month!

Thursday, March 24

  • Learn the East Coast Swing at Philly Dance Fitness! It’s a great exercise that will be teaching you step-by-step technique for this fun social dance. Tickets are as low as $12 dollars, so why not sign up?
  • Indulge in the best Manayunk has to offer at this year’s Best of Manayunk cocktail party! This event is in celebration of 75 businesses chosen by the public as the top places to live, shop, dine, and play. Grab a drink, enjoy tasty samples, and dance along to live entertainment from Alexis Cunninham and Philly Star DJ’s from 6 to 9 p.m.

Friday, March 25

  • March Madness lovers, this one’s for you! The college basketball tournament is returning to Philadelphia, and the Wells Fargo Center is hosting the East Regional rounds! It’s the first time our city has hosted a regional final since 2001, so you don’t want to miss this.
  • The 18th Annual Fairmount Bunny Hop is here! Celebrate Easter at a bar-crawl with great drink specials. Get your ears at Brown Street Pub or Urban Saloon, and benefit a variety of charities by participating in this event!

Saturday, March 26

  • Take the children to an Easter activity at Franklin Square. Go on an Easter egg hunt for FREE from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • It’s Waffle Day, and the American Swedish Historical Museum wants you to spend it right! Learn about the Swedish Waffle Day tradition and be served delicious waffles with whipped cream and strawberry jam! Registration is $10 and includes museum admission, waffles, and beverages.
  • Harry Potter fans are going to love this event at the Philadelphia Museum of Art! Join Watson Adventures for a unique Harry Potter themed scavenger hunt. Get your tickets before they run out!

Sunday, March 27

  • Spend Easter at The Fillmore for a church experience like you’ve never seen before! Live music, biblical teachings, and activities for kids are only some of the things that will be at this event. There is free parking and lots of space, so take the family and friends with you! Service begins at 10:30 a.m.
