At one point or another, everyone has thought about what it would be like to be famous and perform onstage. Here is your chance! We have rounded up some of our favorite open mic nights in Philadelphia for singers, songwriters, comedians, slam poets, and more.

Mondays

Have something to look forward to on a Monday night and head over to Fergie’s Pub at 1214 Sansom Street and test your chops with beers, whiskey, and Irish pub fare. The show starts at 9 p.m.

Get noticed for your musical talents at World Café Live at 3025 Walnut Street. This premier Philadelphia music venue offers food and drinks, but the show at 7:30 p.m. is what takes center stage.

Laugh right in Monday’s face with the comedic open mic night at Urban Saloon at 2120 Fairmount Avenue. This friendly saloon offers traditional pub food and has over a dozen beers on tap. The show starts at 8 p.m.

Looking for a spot that offers comedy and music? For the best of both worlds, look no further than The Irish Times at 629 S 2nd Street. This cozy tavern serves up some of the best sweet potato fries around. The show starts at 9 p.m.

Tuesdays

Time at 1315 Sansom Street serves up some of the best drinks around and provides a great, lowkey atmosphere for local musicians to take the stage. If you’re in search of great drinks and a great time, the show starts at 9 p.m.

Mugshots Coffee House at 2106 Fairmount Avenue hosts singers, storytellers, and poets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. They have something for everyone, including gluten-free and vegan snacks and local, organic coffee.

If you are in the mood for a little soul, look no further than Warmdaddy’s at 1400 S Columbus Boulevard. This joint features a blues, soul, and R&B open mic night at 5 p.m. They also have an all-you-can-eat crab special!

Laugh out loud at Helium Comedy Club located at 2031 Sansm Street. Besides a stacked lineup of comedians, there are also drink specials including $4 beers. The show starts at 8 p.m.

Wednesdays

Looking for a place to share some brews with your buds? Look no further than Dawson Street Pub at 100 Dawson Street. Head on over for some great local live music. The show starts at 9 p.m.

Comedy lovers and animal lovers will love Doobie’s at 2201 Lombard Street. This neighborhood bar boasts board games, a jukebox, and stiff drinks. The show starts at 9:30 p.m. – and dogs are welcome!

Connie’s Ric Rac is a great little hole in the wall venue located at 1132 S 9th Street. Go to listen to some really great music by artists passing through the area, or by local musicians looking to get noticed. Their open mic nights start at 9 p.m.

The El Bar at 1356 N Front Street is a Fishtown favorite with great drink specials. They encourage original music every Wednesday night, starting at 9 p.m.

Thursdays

McGillan’s Olde Ale House at 1310 Drury Street serves craft beers and comfort food with a backtrack of live music starting at 9 p.m. They also offer special pricing for various pitchers and snacks, so be sure to bring plenty of friends!

Do you love comedy? Then head over to Raven Lounge at 1718 Sansom Street for one of the funniest nights in the city! Their weekly show starts at 9 p.m.

The Weekend

Find your inner zen at Studio 34 at 4522 Baltimore Avenue. This yoga studio hosts a poetry slam at 8:30 p.m. on the second and last Friday of every month.

Head on over to hear some of Philly’s finest across all genres of music at The Grape Room at 105 Grape Street. This Manayunk music venue has an extensive beer list and offers a $2 Lion’s Head special. The show starts at 9 p.m. on Sundays.
