Last Thursday, we celebrated the upcoming opening of European fast fashion retailer Primark with their signature Club #Primania event! November 25 will mark the official launch of Primark’s store opening in the King of Prussia Mall, its second location in all of the U.S. Held at Skybox Studios in Fishtown, Refinery29 and actress Keke Palmer did a fantastic job hosting this fashion party.

From the moment guests walked in, they were swept up by the music pumping by Misshapes. Cocktails were flowing as everyone mingled through the Primark shopping experience, complete with vignettes and interactive activations. One such feature was a photo wall, which displayed all photos published to Instagram during the event using the hashtag #PrimarkUSA. A few moments after posting, a wallet-sized polaroid was printed, offering a keepsake to remember Primark’s Philly fashion night by.

Amongst the crowd, we spotted CEO of Primark Paul Marchant, Director of Buying and Merchandising John Lyttle, Alex Holly from Fox29, Geno Vento from Geno Steaks, and a few outstanding Philly fashion bloggers.

Co-host Keke Palmer graced the stage in her custom Primark outfit and performed her new single “I Don’t Belong To You.” Later on, the duo Icona Pop hit the stage, performing four of their tracks including the popular radio hit, “I Love It.” The runway dance show caught everyone’s attention, as the house lights dimmed and spotlights shone on the artists, who were also rocking Primark apparel. High waisted wide leg pants, crop tops, cozy sweaters, and chic backpacks were some of the items they sported.

Everyone we spoke to was excited for the opening, including Amelia Kahiu of Model Mixers. Kahiu was obsessed with the red faux fur coat on display. We agree – this affordable piece is just one of many we would definitely love to have in our closet! The store’s location in the King of Prussia mall is a perfect fit to the wide variety of shops in the area. We are predicting crowds of fashion lovers at the grand opening next week to officially introduce the brand to our city.

There are over 160 Primark stores in the UK. The King of Prussia location is the one of eight stores set to open in the U.S. over the next two years. This international brand plans to encompass a full range of apparel, including womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and home goods.l
