Upcoming Concerts in Philadelphia: April Edition

Oh Philly, do we have a musical month coming up for you! The sun is shining, Philadelphians are brunching outside, and it’s never been nicer to walk on foot from venue to venue. You know what that means – Spring has sprung! Get your April moving with these upcoming concerts happening throughout the city.

Griz

This Saturday, April 11, electronic producer Griz hits the Theater of the Living Arts for all of our EDM lovers. A headliner of Diplo’s Mad Decent Block parties, Griz has been blowing up all over the country! Can’t make his Philly show on Saturday? No worries, Griz will be tearing up Terminal 5 in New York City the night before. Tickets for both performances can be purchased here.

Peter-and-the-Wolf

Catch the phenomenal Philadelphia Orchestra at Verizon Hall on April 16th at 8 p.m. Their live accompaniment of the film Peter and the Wolf will have you reliving your youth with this 2008 Oscar Winning collection of grown-up fairy tales. The following night, rub elbows with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra at Perfect Harmony 2015, an event held at the Diamond Club at Citizens Park. HankGreen

For a little something for everything, Hank Green is bringing a mix of ska, folk, pop, polka, and more to Union Transfer on April 22nd! Joined by Harry and the Potters, Rob Scallon, Driftless Pony Club, and Andrew Huang, this bunch is about to shake up Spring Garden Street! For superfans or for those looking for something to do on a Wednesday night, check out this spectacular group of talented musicians! Tickets are just $20 to this all-ages show.

TheWho

Legendary rock band The Who will be celebrating their 50-year legacy tour, “The Who Hits 50,” at the Wells Fargo Center on May 17th. Now we know this isn’t in April, but this concert is sure to sell out. Especially since Joan Jett & The Blackhearts are their opening guests! Tickets are available here, so grab them while you can!
