Here’s whats going on this week…

Monday, September 23rd

  • Center City Restaurant Week – The second half of Restaurant Week is underway from the 22nd through the 27th. Check here for our list of recommendations!
  • Vetri Family Happy Hour – Come out to Alla Spina for complimentary hors d’oevres, $3 Brooklyn Lager cans, $4 Peroni bottles and $6 wines from 5 to 8 pm. Proceeds will be donated to The Garces Foundation’s English for the Restaurant and Everything Living Program.

Tuesday, September 24th

  • Wash & Wear – Get a first look at Laundrea’s fall and holiday clothing lines, with free professional tips on accessorizing for the season. RSVP to jennifer@godwinapparel.com to attend from 6 to 8 pm at 222 Vine Street.
  • Ramen Burger Popup – Cheu Noodle Bar is serving up a mini menu of burgers with ramen buns and $4 drink specials all day Tuesday .

Wednesday, September 25th

  • 20 Is the New Black – This year’s 20th Annual Phashion Phest takes place at The Shops at Liberty Place, beginning at 7 pm with a cocktail reception. The runway show starts at 8:30 and kicks off with a retrospective of Phashion Phest themes over the past 19 years, and follows with designs for both men and women to inspire for the fall season. Tickets are $50 in advance, $60 at the door and $25 for students with ID.
  • J. Cole at the Mann – Roc Nation’s J. Cole will perform with special guest Wale in support of his new LP, Born Sinner. Show starts at 7:30, and tickets range from $40-60.
  •  * The World Trade Center Philadelphia International Showcase – The culminating event of The Pennsylvania International Week is a business reception and networking event which showcases the vitality of the region in business, diplomacy, and academia. The event is free and open to the public with registration.

Thursday, September 26th

  • Monster Energy Rock Allegiance Tour – Danish rockers Volbeat, alongside HIM, All That Remains, and Airbourne, take the Skyline Stage at the Mann starting at 6 pm.
  •  Tippler’s Tour: Ghosts & Toasts – Every Thursday at 5:30, join Historic Philadelphia’s tavern ghost tour through four “watering holes” in Old City – Red Owl Tavern, Salon 401, National Mechanics and City Tavern – with songs and stories of drinking traditions and tavern culture from Colonial times with seasonal beers and snacks along the way!
  •  Ronald McDonald House 3rd Annual Karaoke Contest – 102.9 WMGK hosts its third karaoke contest in support of the Ronald McDonald House at DiBruno Bros from 7 to 10. Tickets include food from DiBruno and beer tastings from Yards Brewing Company.
  • ArtCred – Because Philly’s Youth Matters.  An event presented by SincerelySyreeta.com celebrating artists of various genres in an effort to support CRED, Philly’s unique art programming for our citites youth.

Friday, September 27th

  • Furs Friday – The Red Paw Emergency Relief Team presents “A Furtography Show Fur a Good Cause” at The Rosenfeld Gallery. Submit a favorite photo of yourself with your pet for the photo exhibit, and see the other works displayed while enjoying hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine, prizes and awards and a silent auction.
  • Earth Wind and Fire at the Borgata – The legends play a two-night engagement in Atlantic City for $56-76.
  • Beethoven 9: Ode to Joy – Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts the Philadelphia Orchestra in one of the most well known movements in classical music on the 26th through the 28th.

Saturday, September 28th

  • *Campus Philly College Day – New and returning students can enjoy music, food, free swag, recreational activities, and more all day on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, beginning at the Art Museum steps. Students also receive free admission to select museums and other cultural attractions, both on the Parkway and in Old City with IDs.
  •  XFinity Live Oktoberfest – Tickets to this six-hour bash include unlimited beer, a whiskey and cider room, live DJs and music, and over 150 types of craft beers to taste. Check out the full list of events – including a crowning of the Mr. and Mrs. X-Toberfest – here.
  • Philly Zombie Prom – Celebrate the start of the Halloween season at the Troc’s annual zombie prom! Get your zombie face done by makeup artists while Dave Ghoul, DJ Kiltboy, The Mighty Mike Saga, Live Not On Evil and The Young Werewolves spinning and playing from 8 pm on.

Sunday, September 29th

  • Walk for Primary Immunodeficiency Philadelphia – This family-friendly walk, organized by the Immune Deficiency Foundation, will take place at the Walnut Plaza at Penn’s Landing. There is no registration fee, as funds will be raised before the event.
  •  Spring Gardens Beer Share Fundraiser – Bring two bottles of beer and your preferred glassware to an event benefiting The Spring Gardens Capital Campaign. Food will be served by The Belgian Café and The London Grill.
  •  Bunny Bunny – Philadelphia’s all-comedy company, 1812 Productions, remembers a sarcastic, charming and witty almost-lover relationship between Saturday Night Live actress Gilda Radner and playwright Alan Zweibel. Running through October 27 for $30 during the week and $35 on weekends.

  1. You guys missed the big “Breaking Bad” finale viewing party Sunday night at Play 2 at Chickies and Petes . 32 screens, themed drinks, contests, prizes and surprizes. Free admission.
