Flying Daringly High Over Broad Street

FSCA-promo-pic-1

The Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts is back with an entire month full of adventure.  I decided to kick off the festival by participating in Fly School Circus Arts’ trapeze class over Broad Street.   The location is perfectly fitting as Philadelphia’s Avenue of the Arts, and the view from above is honestly breathtaking.  I can hardly believe that I worked up the courage to soar of the city on a trapeze!

“Daringly High” is the theme of this year’s trapeze lessons, and it’s truly a celebration of empowerment and confidence.  I went into the lesson thinking, “There is no way I can do this,” as nerves were getting the better of me.  With an amazing support team and a rush of adrenaline, the next thing I knew I was flying 25 feet over Broad Street!  “Daringly High encourages you to overcome challenges, fly in the face of limitations, and try something you never thought possible,” said Fly School Circus Arts Executive Director Mary Kelly Rayel.  From first-hand experience, I can tell you she’s absolutely right!  (Click here to see me fly!)

Fly School Circus Arts lessons are available until April 27, 2013.  I recommend going to take a lesson and attending the late-April performance by the experts.   Pricing and details for flying trapeze performances will be announced in early April at www.flyschoolcircusarts.com and on Twitter by following @flyschoolcircus.

Special thanks to Aversa PR for the invite and Philly Chit Chat for posting a pic of my flying through the air!
