Highlights From The Philadelphia Collection

After New York Fashion Week, I couldn’t get enough of all these fashion events. Luckily, Philadelphia Fashion Week immediately followed NFYW. This year, the Philadelphia Collection did a fantastic job presenting a thorough schedule of fashion events in the city. I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking because they are visually stunning. Here are my highlights:

Phashion Phest

This year was the 19th Annual Phashion Phest with the theme Fashion Follies. The Shops at Liberty Place was such a great location, with both floors being completely utilized. Before the show began, the guests were able to view student designs from surrounding Philadelphia schools, shop different vendors, sample bites from local caterers, and drink SkinnyGirl cocktails.

When all the guests were seated, the show began with bang! We were surprised with a fun, sexy burlesque number. After that, local boutiques and designers showcased their fall fashions, which were amazing! I wanted to buy so many pieces right off the runway. Luckily, there was a silent auction and I am the proud winner of a new Cayetano Legacy necklace!

Philadelphia Fashion Week

This year marked the eighth season of FBH Agency’s Philadelphia Fashion Week. The show’s producers, Kevin Parker and Kerry Scott, put together a week of fashion forward events: an Accessories Cocktail Party on Tuesday night, Trend Mixer on Wednesday evening, and Black Tie Affair on Thursday.

Though the real stars of the week were the Ready to Wear and Couture runway shows featuring designers from all over the country. There were fun, flirty dresses by Pretty Pretty Rebel to intricately constructed gowns by Autumlin. One of the best parts was the amount of menswear looks and designers, including modern custom suits from Clarenze Couture and sharp jackets from NIHN Collection. And what girl doesn’t appreciate a man in a nice tailored outfit? Local designers also had some fabulous looks to present, including a vintage elegance from Irina Sigal and soft, feminine touches by Von Alexandria.
