Grooviest Bar In Philadelphia – The Trestle Inn

First, let me start off by saying I REALLY did not want to write this…I wanted to keep this place all to myself!  But I know it’s so good that the secret will be let out soon enough.  The Trestle Inn has reopened on the corner of 11th and Callowhill.    It’s going back to it’s roots, a 1960’s and 1970’s bar and entertainment venue with Go-Go Dancers and giant projection walls of dancers from the 60’s

I also must let you know about the menu!  It’s amazingly good with things you think you would never try but when you do you say to yourself, “I’m coming back here every weekend.”  They have deviled eggs which will change all the time, I tried the Blue Cheese ones and they were DELISH!   Other menu items include Pigs in a Blanket, Beef Jerky, Jello Mold, and Thanksgiving Pot Pie.  On the menu you can find pickled pigs feet and something called bone marrow…these I did not try!  There are two pages dedicated to whiskey…and the Classic Whiskey Sour was the best thing I ever had!

And as far as the secret being let out about this place, when I left it was packed!  So go early, get a bar seat, and hang with the cool bartenders and dancers.
