Every 4th of July, Philly shows out with the Salute to Independence Parade, and it’s not just any parade; it’s the biggest Independence Day parade in the country. We’re talking 80,000+ people lining the streets, dozens of floats, live performers, dancers, bands, drill teams, and special guests repping the city’s energy from start to finish. The parade kicks off at 5th and Chestnut, right in front of Independence Hall, and winds its way up to Broad and Arch. This year, look out for a few major moments: a new dance performance to the original song “America My Home Sweet Home,” the World Champion Reading Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps, and a float designed specifically for America’s 250th birthday in 2026. There’s even an international moment with the Corotegas Latin Marching Band coming from Honduras. If you’re pulling up, bring a chair, get there early, and grab a spot along the route. It’s loud, proud, and packed with so much hometown and historic pride.. Philly doesn’t do small, and this parade proves it every single year.
