Places in Philly to Help Prioritize Your Health and Wellness

April is National Stress Awareness Month and the City of Brotherly Love is offering several ways for residents and visitors to relax and unwind. At Philly PR Girl, we know a thing or two about self-care. Follow along as we share some of the best self-care/wellness services, outdoor getaways, and fitness studios in Philly to help prioritize your health.

Self Care

dtXfy*

Our first stop is dtXfy, a sauna studio located in Manayunk and Wayne, PA. It offers an infrared sauna, red light therapy, 6D massage therapy services, and more. DtXfy was created by founder Denise Lehmann, who was battling arthritic pains and brain fog, which inspired her to create and open the sauna. Now, sometime later, dtXfy still provides its patrons with many opportunities and experiences that will allow them to destress and feel their best. More information on how to book your appointment can be found here!

The Great Outdoors

Our next few stops on this health and wellness journey will take us out of our homes, offices, etc., and into the great outdoors to connect with nature.

Wissahickon Valley Park

The first stop on our outdoor wellness journey is Wissahickon Valley Park, a popular Philadelphia trail located along the Schuylkill River. The park’s 1,800 acres offer approximately 57 miles of trails for visitors to walk, bike, ride, or challenge themselves in an off-road cycling adventure before reaching the dazzling waters of Wissahickon Creek.

Rittenhouse Square

The second stop on our nature walk brings us to Rittenhouse Square, a historical park located in the heart of Center City that William and Hannah Penn founded. The Penns, who likely never imagined how popular this space would one day become, is a hot spot in center city for Philadelphia residents and visitors alike. On any given afternoon, park visitors can find vendors, artists, craft fairs, farmers markets, and many other events that will allow them to enjoy the sunshine and the many sights and sounds of the city.

Getting Fit

After taking care of our skincare needs and reconnecting with nature, these next few stops are for those who want to sweat it out!
