The Bearded Ladies, an experimental cabaret company, presents their third annual festival of LATE NIGHT SNACKS beginning on September 8, 2023, and running through October 1, 2023, with showings scheduled Wednesday through Sunday. Prepare for an unapologetically queer performance art pop-up in partnership with FringeArts, Opera Philadelphia, and the mayor’s office of LGBT affairs.
Catch these one-of-kind performances at their BRAND NEW custom-built pop-up cabaret venue, The Closet, located in the South Street Headhouse District at 201 South Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147. This after-hour performance features varied artists every night. From opera singers to drag queens and art clowns to cabaret stars, individuals can expect an extraordinary and exciting night! Every show will be unique, with over 75+ local and national performances. This month-long performance series offers a unique and different show every night, encouraging supporters to come once, twice, or every night! Co-directors John Jarboe (Best of Philly’s 2023 Performer Taking Drag to the Next Level) and Jackie Soro are promising a show like you’ve never seen before.
The performance may include artistic experimentation, adult content, consensual touch, nudity, earworms, jubilation, great selfie material, and rampant queerness. Not every show will be for everyone, so be on the lookout for details before the show. However, kids of all ages are invited to The Closet on Sunday afternoons for Family Snacks, a Late Night Snacks performance that is appropriate for the mid-afternoon.
