Good morning Philly, we hope your weekend was great! The weather is looking pretty nice this week, we’ve got some cool events for you to get out to.

Monday 4/10

  • The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society is having a Composting: How to Turn Your Trash to Treasure event. You’ll get the opportunity to transform garbage from your home into soil and fertilizer for your houseplants or garden. The workshop will be led by Associate Director of Community Education at PHS, Sally McCabe.
  • Wishing all Jewish readers a Happy Passover. Join the Please Touch Museum for their Passover Storytime with Lisa Litman from jkidphilly with singing and dancing. Register here!

Tuesday 4/11

  • Let your tastebuds try something new and interesting with Jet Wine Bar. They’re having a Malaysian Food and Wine Pairing. James Beard Award Semifinalist Ange Branca of Sate Kampar will be there to share her delicious dishes. Wine and great food, you won’t want to miss this one!
  • The Culinary Literacy Center is having a Cherry Blossom Festival Wagashi Workshop. Guests will learn to make wagashi from tea practitioner Sachiko Houck. This workshop takes skill and a high level of concentration, tickets are very limited!

Wednesday 4/12

  • Head over to the Fillmore Philly for the Be Here Soon World Tour. See ionnalee like you’ve never seen them before! Tickets are selling quickly. Get them now!
  • Escape to Margaritaville this Wednesday at the Walnut Street Theater! Follow the heartwarming story of Tully, “a part-time bartender, part-time singer, and full-time charmer who thinks he’s got life all figured out.” Find out more here! Get your tickets now!

Thursday 4/13

  • Nothing like a pretty rooftop, good eats, and cocktails! Bok Bar is having their seasonal opening this Thursday and they’re encouraging everyone to save the date. The food partner of the month is Porcos Philly, providing savory and sweet bites. 
  • Enjoy the sounds of the Philadelphia Orchestra this Thursday at the Kimmel Cultural Center. Tickers are not going to last long. Get them here!

Friday 4/14

  • The Philly Otaku Con is finally here! It will be taking place between April 14-16 so you’ve got plenty of time to check it out. Admission is free giving you access to over 60 vendors, arcades, food, drinks, and more! 
  • Exciting News!! Comedian Adam Sandler will be coming to the Wells Fargo Center! Keep the young ones at home, this is a 16+ event. Get your tickers now!

Saturday 4/15

  • Saturday is day one of the 2023 World Oddities Expo and it will be happening again Sunday 4/16. This is their 3rd time in Philadelphia and will be at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Tickets grant you access to both days, vendors, performances, and more! Grab your tickets now.
  • Coming back to Philadelphia is the annual Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival. Located in Fairmount Park, this festival is free and open to the public. Leave a donation if you wish!

 

Sunday 4/16

  • Sound Space Performing Arts is having a Slow Dancing Workshop with professional blues and balboa instructor Dan Repsch. Grab your partner and register today!
