This Week In Philly October 3-9

Good morning and happy first week of October, Philly! It’s finally starting to feel like Fall in the city. Grab your flannels and pumpkin spice lattes and stop by some of the amazing events in the city to fill your week with some fun and fall spirit!

 October 3:

      • Calling all Temple alumni, current students, or any music lovers. The Temple University Wind Symphony is having their first concert of the season titled “Heightened Emotions,” come out and enjoy the music!
      • We promised to have you covered on all of the Fall fun this week! Menlo Park is hosting Perkasie’s annual Fall Fest today! Come on out and enjoy the festivities featuring pumpkin decorating, scarecrow games, tractor rides and so much more!

October 4:

    • Spending the day eating Philly’s most popular food?! We’re in! Hop on this fun and casual Philly themed tour, Flavors of Philly presented by City Food Tours. From cheesesteaks, to tomato pie and soft pretzels, all Philly food palettes will be satisfied! 
    • The best Tuesday recharge is back again! Barre3 is inviting you to get your sweat on as the cooler weather comes in at Rittenhouse.

October 5:

      • The talented group Metronomy is at The Brooklyn Bowl tonight! We have all the concert and ticket info for you!
      • Wind down your Wednesday at the W Living Room with friends and hand crafted cocktails. Just the vibes you need to decompress heading into the second half of the week!

October 6: 

      • Mega pop star Post Malone is at the Wells Fargo Center tonight! He is for sure to put on a good one, get your last minute tickets!
      • The Philadelphia Orchestra is putting on a breathtaking symphony tonight at Verizon Hall. Get your tickets and enjoy the sweet sounds to wind down your week. 

October 7:

      • One of the biggest comedians in the world, Kevin Hart is coming home for the night to put on a great show. Come out and support one of Philly’s finest at the Wells Fargo Center.
      • Dilworth Park is buzzing with fall festivities for Harvest weekend! Today is the first day of this three day event filled with fall essentials for you and the family. Check it out this weekend! 

October 8:

      • Grammy nominated rapper, Jack Harlow is at the Liacouras Center tonight! Enjoy a night out with some friends while Jack performs some of the biggest hits off of his latest album, “Come Home the Kids Miss You.”
      • Take flight — or simply enjoy the views from the ground — at this gravity-defying fall festival in Chester County. Over the course of two days, more than 20 hot air balloons take to the skies for tethered and untethered flights offering sweeping views of the surrounding area come out to the Balloon Festival today!

October 9:

      • This celebration in the streets of America’s most historic square returns after a three-year hiatus. Expect a festival stage with live music, a family fun zone, and a bevy of pay-as-you-go food and beverage options from Old City favs. Be on the lookout for hand-crafted goods from local designers, retailers and galleries.
      • A partnership between Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and FCM Hospitality, Parks on Tap was created to be a traveling beer garden throughout the city’s various, beautiful parks. Come out to Schuylkill Banks this Sunday and an outdoors event before it gets too cold out.
