It’s time to find out what’s happening #ThisWeekInPhilly! With Christmas only a week away, there’s much to do before Santa Claus comes to town! It’s time to sing your favorite carols, get boozy at ski lodge-inspired rooftops, and much more! Keep reading to find out what’s happening #ThisWeekInPhilly.

 

December 13

  • Head over to the Wells Fargo Center for the Q102 Jingle Ball presented by Capital One! Celebrate the holidays with artists Doja Cat, AJR, Kane Brown, Saweetie, and many more for a night of fun! The show will start at 7:30 p.m..
  • See artist, activist, and poet Robert Lugo’s third exhibition Back and Forth: Red and Meth at Wexler Gallery Philadelphia. Sharing the space with multiple collaborators, Lugo fills the gallery with functional items such as clothing, sneakers, prints, and more. 

December 14

  • Led by Music Director J. Donald Dumpson, see A Soulful Christmas at the Verizon Hall of the Kimmel Center tonight at 7:30. This will mark the 8th year of a show full of holiday spirituals and gospel favorites.
  • Get boujee and boozy at the Alpine Height Ski Lodge Pop-Up! Reserve your spot and hang at the Assembly Rooftop Lounge for hot cocktails and festive ales. 

December 15

  • Catch one of the UK’s most beloved soul artists, Daley, at the Main Stage of City Winery* tonight at 8. 
  • Wooder Ice is bringing back its Ultimate Holiday Game Night that will include classic board games, raffles, local vendors, and a live trivia game show on December 15 from 7 – 10 p.m.! Show off your gaming skills and compete in the Unique Gameshows’ live trivia hosted by Jay The Gentleman.

December 16

  • This holiday season, Khyber Pass Pub takes a turn on holiday festivities with “Slashing Through the Snow” hosted by former police officer and detective Sarah Cailean. This Christmas event will be talk of killers where guests may play trivia for the chance to win prizes.
  • Take part in the holiday tradition, Old City’s Window Decorating Contest, and pick your favorite design! While you’re at it, support local businesses and shop small in Old City,

December 17

  • Feel the Christmas spirit come alive at The Glorious Sound of Christmas. Join the holiday fun at the Verizon Hall of the Kimmel Center.
  • Checkout The Franklin Institute’s Science After Hours: Flannel & Frost. Toast to the holiday season and enjoy campfire lounges, a live DJ, and festive entertainment throughout the night. Join the fun tonight from 8 to 11. You must be 21+ to attend.

December 18

  • Join Clara in her mystical dream on Christmas Eve as her and The Nutcracker battle the Mouse King! The Nutcracker, will be performed by the Schuylkill Valley Regional Dance Company at Bryn Mawr College with two shows today, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m..

December 19

  • Give the gift of kindness this holiday season and donate a toy or children’s book to the Eastern State Penitentiary Toy Drive. When donating, you will get a “Buy One, Get One Free” daytime tour admission to Eastern State Penitentiary.
  • Playboi Carti is bringing the “NARCISSIST” tour to The Liacouras Center. You’re not gonna want to miss this electric live performance with special experiences. The show will start at 8 p.m.
