The year of January is over, and it’s officially February! This week, we are celebrating Chinese New Year and starting to think about Valentine’s Day right around the corner. Monday, February 4

  • Celebrate the first moments of the Chinese New Year with the Philadelphia Suns at their annual midnight Lion Dance performance. The show starts at 10th and Race Street and goes until 1 am.
  • Feel empowered by joining Samantha Rucker at Uncle Bobbie’s Coffee and Books for “Enough is Enough”, a discussion for women of color focused on healing and letting out rage in respectful constructive ways.
  • Unwind and enjoy a free class from Koresh Dance Company. Sign up for beginner ballet with Lara Tant 7:30 – 9pm.

Tuesday, February 5

  • Head over to Kings Highway Tavern for Paint to You if you’re feeling crafty. Create your own 18” round wooden sign with no experience necessary! Plus, all materials provided.
  • A winter getaway is closer than you think at The Greenhouse’s lush oasis. Enjoy live music, cocktails at a cash bar, a giant sandbox, games, and food truck vendors in this beautiful space.

Friday, February 8

  • Philly Theatre Week is 10 days of celebration of the arts. All events will be open to the public, ranging from free to only $30. With many productions, readings, and interactive events, there will be something for everyone.
