Monday, January 21

  • Celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at The Franklin Institute’s Martin Luther King Day of Service. This community service project collects and distributes much-needed school supplies to students and teachers across the Philadelphia School District.
  • Center City District Restaurant Week is back and tastes better than ever. This biannual event includes more than 125 participating restaurants serving up major deals for three-course lunches and dinners. Check out some of our favorite places to go.
  • Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with pay-what-you-wish admission at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This is available all day from 10 am to 5 pm.
  • Join Uncle Bobbie’s and Samantha Rucker, MA for “Enough is Enough”: Women’s Wellness Group a discussion for women of color living in the patriarchy.
  • Houwzer hosts Fairmount Home Buying Class Happy Hour at Frankie Ann’s Bar & Grille. Learn how you can master the home buying process with a pressure-free, salaried Realtor and trusted mortgage partner.
  • OnPoint Nutrition will be hosting an interactive workshop outlining Ways to Practice Mindful Eating. This evening earn why our brains turn to food for comfort, how to counteract stress eating, and how to put mindful eating into practice.

Tuesday, January 22

  • The Franklin Institute invites you to experience Science After Hours: Winter is Coming. This monthly event features experiments, demonstrations, and games, as well as, innovative and engaging science.
  • The Market & Shops at Comcast Center host Paint + Sip Pinot’s Palette. Guests are invited to create their very own winter wonderland-themed painting while sampling wines from Ampel Wines.
  • City Ave District invites you to join them at their fourth annual Futurecast. Hosted at the Courtyard Marriott Philadelphia City Avenue Hotel,  the keynote speaker will be Federal Realty Investment Trust’s Vice President of Leasing, Jeff Fischer.
  • Start the year off at Center City Fit, presented by Rothman Orthopaedics. These free weekly afternoon skating workouts will be led by professional Optimal Sport 1315* trainers!

Wednesday, January 23

  • Spend your night singing and dancing to Drake’s most popular hits at Drake Night hosted by The Fillmore. Tickets are available in advance and at the door.
  • Join DVLF for their monthly social networking event Our Night Our Philly at Tradesmans. Our Night Out is a fun and casual social networking party of LGBT professionals, allies, friends and colleagues.
  • The Philadelphia Phillies invite college students and professors to go behind-the-scenes with major league leaders from the  MLB during the second annual Phillies College Winter Summit. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Phillies Charities, Inc.
  • Cheer on your Philadelphia 76ers as they take on the San Antonio Spurs at Wells Fargo Center at 8 pm.

Thursday, January 24

  • Celebrate the release of Mrs. Maisel Season 2 with A Mrs. Marvelous 50s themed cocktail party at Tribe 12. The evening will include music, games, decorations, drinks, and more!
  • Franklin Music Hall presents Wu-Tang Clan: 25 years of 36 Chambers. The legendary Staten Island rap crew is playing two full-cast reunion concerts.
  • The Wall Cycling Studio* will being having an Addison Bay Pop Up Shop at their studio. This local Philly brand creates high-quality workout gear so you can look and feel great while exercising.
  • Celebrate Dry January with a healthy dose of flavor at Art in the Age in this exclusive Wellness Cocktail Workshop. Admission includes three non-alcoholic cocktails, Q&A with cocktail specialist Lee Noble, mixology demonstration, and lastly a hands-on drink making workshop.
  • AtivX brings you “Battle of the Brews” held at WeWork Northern Liberties. This event showcases local breweries recommended by our “brewery natives” and crown one brewery as the champ!

Friday, January 25

  • Catch American DJ, record producer and musician GRYFFIN perform at the TLA. Don’t miss his melody-rich style of house music that will leave audiences wanting more.
  • Join Heirloom Market for their Grand Opening Celebration. Guests will be able to take a first look at the new market and sample food from a few of their local vendors.
  • Join Kelly Gallagher as she hosts the 3rd Annual Superhero Gala celebrating premature babies and their families. Local Eagles game day host, Molly Sullivan, is the emcee and Jewel Smith, wife of NBA star JR Smith, is a special speaker. Other guest appearances include Lauren Holiday and Marques Colston.

Saturday, January 26

  • The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts host Jerry Blavat and Friends 40th Anniversary Show. The evening will feature performances from The Miracles, Kim Weston, Brenda Holloway, The Stylistics, and more.
  • From 11 am – 4 pm, stop by Founders Philly Freeze-Out. Don’t miss as Manayunk turns into a winter wonderland during this day-long event. There will be ice sculptures, ice carving demonstrations, an ice beer garden, a chowder and beer pairing, a hot cocoa bar, live music, exclusive shopping on Main Street, and more!​
  • Radio 104.5 FM’s Winter Jawn returns to Xfinity Live! featuring performances by Young the Giant, Matt & Kim, lovleytheband, Bob Moses, and more. This is a free event for all ages, but you have to have a ticket for entry.
  • Real Girl Pilates is teaming up with Eclipse Brewing to bring you PIlates and Pours. After an hour-long Pilates class enjoy a glass of craft beer from a selection of Eclipse Brewing’s finest beer and non-beer options.

Sunday, January 27

  • Join Philly Dance Fitness for their “Taste of Philly Dance Fitness” workshops. These jam-packed, team-taught sessions are the perfect opportunity to sample more than eight of our programs at once such as  Cardio Pop, Dance Party Boot Camp, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Barre, African, Jazz and more.
  • GTS Presents and World Cafe Live host Winter Wreck. Come out and support your favorite artist.
  • KG Strong is hosting an open house party in their new studio at BOK with food and drinks. Bring a group to participate for an afternoon of fun competitions together and win cool prizes.
  • Epiphany Fellowship’s Community Events Ministry is hosting an ice skating event at Blue Cross RiverRink. The cost is $12 per person (for a group of 15 or more), which includes ice skate rentals.
