Monday, December 17

  • The Kimmel Center invites singers to come together for the SILENT NIGHT SING-IN. This free event will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the beloved Christmas carol “Silent Night.”
  • Philadelphia Film Society hosts It’s A Wonderful Life Food Drive. Tickets to the show are free, though a donation of a non-perishable food item is encouraged. Donations will go towards helping Philabundance fight hunger.
  • Celebrate the holidays at Tinsel, Philly’s Christmas-themed pop-up bar, with DJ Robert Drake. From 5 – 7 pm, enjoy a festive mix of holiday cocktails and a chance to win holiday prizes.

Tuesday, December 18

  • Zahav and WHYY present its 9th Annual “A Very Jewish Christmas”. The tradition continues with Chinese takeout and a movie. Proceeds from this event support Broad Street Ministry and their lifesaving programs and services.
  • The Franklin Institute invites you to experience Science After Hours. This monthly event features experiments, demonstrations, and games, as well as, innovative and engaging science.
  • Cheer on the Philadelphia Flyers as they take on the Detroit Red Wings at the Wells Fargo Center at 7 p.m.
  • Every third Tuesday of the month, Philly DevOps meetup to discuss how to bridge the gap between development and operations.

Wednesday, December 19

  • Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical will be taking over the Kimmel Center from Wednesday, Dec 19  through Saturday, Dec 29. This heartwarming holiday musical is sure to get you and the whole family in the holiday spirit.
  • Enjoy free samples of spirits and snacks at Reading Terminal Market’s Sip & Sample at the Pennsylvania Pour Collective. Participating merchants include Boardroom Spirits, Eight Oaks Craft Distillers, New Liberty Distillery, Pezone cello, and Stateside Vodka.
  • One Liberty Observation Deck’s Bar 57 hosts their first-annual Ugly Sweater Night. For one night only step out in your ugliest sweater and enjoy light bites, cocktails, and Philadelphia’s breathtaking views.
  • Welcome to the Movement! Cheer on your Philadelphia 76ers as they take on the New York Knicks at Wells Fargo Center at 7 pm.
  • Don’t miss LAN2018’S last event with Amazon Panel, Philly 2019: Amazon is Coming. Hear from Amazon speakers at what could possibly be the largest Center City AWS event.

Thursday, December 20

  • Revli Management will be hosting their inaugural R&B Holiday Benefit Concert at Philadelphia’s historic Trocadero Theatre. Performers include Good Girl, M!SHEL, Audrey Jackson, Julian King, Judaea, and Star Castillo.
  • Cheer on your Philadelphia Flyers as they take on the Nashville Predators at 7 pm. The game is also hosting a special Love Your Melon Night.
  • The Walnut Hill Community Association and The Enterprise Center host Walnut Hill Holiday Extravaganza. From 3 – 6 p.m., stop by Max Paul Park for music, fun, food, activities, gifts, and photos with Santa.

Friday, December 21

  • The Walnut Club hosts its second annual Holiday Mix & Mingle at “Best of Philly’s” M Concept Shop. This year, M Concept will donate 20% of the proceeds to a non profit that will be chosen that evening.
  • Howl at the Moon invites you to bring your most horrendous looks to their Ugly Sweater Party. Get lit as a christmas tree with drink specials, live music, and more!
  • Walnut Street Theatre presents Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Experience the classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge with added traditional songs. This special hour-long musical adaptation is great for for all ages.
  • It’s that dark time of year when Philly Bike Party hosts its LIT Ride. At 8 pm, bikers will meet at the Rocky Steps to check out the beautiful holiday lights around the city.

Saturday, December 22

  • Join a.kitchen as they host Cocoa & Crepes Winter Pop-Up on the weekends. Take a break from shopping and warm up with hot cocoa from local artisan Chris Curtin of Éclat. Pair it with sweet and savory crepes from Chef Eli Collins.
  • Philadelphia Printworks hosts a Clothing Drive + Misprint Sale: A Fundraiser for the VYH. This monthly misprint sale will raise money for The Synergy Project Philadelphia!
  • Catch DJ Stampone LIVE at Vesper Sporting Club. There will be a free cover before 11 pm on guestlist.
  • Every Saturday, spend the day enjoying the crisp holiday weather at Rittenhouse Square’s Farmers Market. With over 25 local farmers and food artisans, this is one of the city’s largest farmers markets.
  • Get your Ugly Sweater ready for a Holiday Party at Brickwall* Philadelphia. Tickets include Tröegs Vertical Elf Flight, passed hors d’oeuvres and full buffet, live DJ spinning holiday mixes, and a grand prize for the ugliest sweater!
