Philly Foodies Tours Launches in Fishtown

Many Philadelphians feel fiercely loyal to their neighborhood. Each one boasts their own unique style and flavors, so it’s easy to rarely venture outside of the same local spots. Whether it’s eateries, watering holes or markets, some of us have been going to our favorite spots for decades. Now, Philly Foodies Tours is here to change that mentality.

Created by husband and wife team Luis and Katy, Philly Foodies Tours aims to push the boundaries of exploration in Philadelphia. They want to take you into the lesser known areas of the city. Naturally, they are choosing to start with their own beloved neighborhood of Fishtown. Luis and Katy are offering an insider view into the local life of Fishtown residents. Find out where they shop, where they play, and most importantly, where they eat!

The Philly Foodies Tours of Fishtown includes, but is not limited to, stops at iconic pizza shops, local produce and artisan markets, historic landmarks, and award-winning restaurants. The whole experience takes about two hours and covers almost two miles. Comfortable walking shoes are encouraged. Pro tip: make sure your phone has a full charge and/or bring a portable charger! You’re going to want to snap plenty of photos on the tour.

Philly Foodies Tours is a perfect way for visitors to get to know one of the city’s most vibrant and delicious neighborhoods. It’s also great for locals to get out of their comfort zone and explore a different part of town. Even if you’ve already tried some of these spots, they are certainly worth going back to with Luis and Katy for the rich history of the neighborhood.

Tickets can be purchased on the Philly Foodies Tours website, and cost $42 per person. Space is limited for each tour, so check online for availability. For more updates, follow Philly Foodies Tours on Facebook and Instagram.
